Hi! I almost completed an website and I want to make some SEO for it. So I know a guy that told me he can submit my site to over 800 web directories in ONE DAY!! He also said that this can bring me heavy traffic. Is this true or false? I must pay him ofcourse but I rather want to know from the start if this kind of SEO campaign worth something or not.

its likely to be done by "spamming" your web address on forums etc

 

the best way to seo is to utilise the tools in html (title tags, h1 tag, meta tags) and then submit to google (get a sitemap) and find relevant websites and offer to link exchange with them

I can get you lots of visitors.. just do an adwords campaign with the word "S e X" in it. the result wil be the same:

 

1. lots of visitors

2. you end up skint

3. thats it

 

Before dooing any SEO, consider your site conversion - who is your targer market? If you bring your target market to the site, is it good enough to sell to them. once that is sorted, good SEO will concentrate on delivering your target market to your site

 

You are not paid in visitors, you are paid when a visitor buys something
