June 10, 200917 yr Hi, Just found the forum, great resource. Just launched my first real web project! http://www.bedroom-beats.com Feedback Wanted Cheers Ben
June 10, 200917 yr Wow that looks really cool! Love it. If I were to change one thing it would be add some line-height (around 1.5em) to your text so it's not so close together
June 10, 200917 yr Author Hmm interesting point, are you running mac or PC? What would the CSS code be: line-height: xx; ??
June 10, 200917 yr Pretty nice website, yeah the code is line-height:20px; for example. One thing I will say is that it's very pixelated around the edges of the polaroids, you should re-do them so they're of higher quality.
June 10, 200917 yr I like it too but would second that the polaroids are abit jaggy. just need abit of anitalising and itl look fine.
June 10, 200917 yr Love the background image. I agree with the others' comments about the edges. Is the white maybe a bit strong on the black? Maybe it's just me, so don't worry.. maybe a slightly light grey colour? Overall, good job, I like it
June 10, 200917 yr Author Hmm thanks for the feedback guys - just what I wanted. Im running on a mac and can see no jagged edges - is there a way I can change the polaroid layer in PhotoShop to correct this error? Thanks Again!
June 10, 200917 yr now i got to say im loving this site! very good looking! yeah i can see the jagged lines aswell running windows xp with FF 3.5 beta 4 (also the rizla packet is a real nice touch didn't notice it first time i looked!)
June 10, 200917 yr Author Cheers glad you like the site, I am trying to set up as a freelance designer but I'm struggling to get any work. This has been my first real project though and has taught me a CMS which is nice. Need to sort that jagged bit ont he photo looks awful just checked on a PC!
June 10, 200917 yr Yeah, you could make your text #eee not #fff, might soften it a little. And I second the thought of increasing line-height a little, and I'd also suggest giving the text panels a little inner padding so the text doesn't get quite so close to the edge. But overall it's v cool. Loving the rizla packet - noticed you used the blue packet
June 10, 200917 yr Love it. Very nice. ...Loving the rizla packet - noticed you used the blue packet Could have been more blatant Andy, he could have used slim Silvers.... Not that I know anything about that of course!
June 10, 200917 yr Author Thanks again for your input guys. What would #eee be an off white? I have tried it and couldn't tell much difference on my mac screen! Thanks Again
June 11, 200917 yr #eee should be very, very pale grey (pure grey, no tint at all). If you can't see the difference, try #ddd. In fact just try stuff until you get something you like. Numbers aren't everything
June 11, 200917 yr That is really great, I love the background. Is that a packet of Rizla I see? Haha
June 11, 200917 yr That is really great, I love the background. Is that a packet of Rizla I see? Haha always amazes me how a packet of rizla can connect people in such a way, i don't think i've met a designer who doesn't have a packet of rizla on them
