Those two sites are quite nice - I particularly like http://robmason.org/ - that is very cool

That's kind of wierd... not the sites, they look mighty fine. But HTML5 is a markup standard (well it will be at some point), not a visual tool - so choosing something like Flickr, rather than (say) a CSS inspiration site, seems very strange. Both sites could easily have been built in XHTML 1.0 and no-one would have known any different

@zigpress - I take the point, but it's about showcasing what can be done with the new technical standards. Geeky I know, but when people still use tables we must push the boundaries and show what can be done semantically.

Yes, I get that - it's great to experiment with evolving standards and see how it might change the way we code. I just wondered "why Flickr", that was all.
