Hi guys, I have been making my logo in photoshop for my recruitment agency.. and I need your professional opinions please.

Which logo do you think is the best? I have also attached a printscreen of my home page so you get an idea of the colour scheme... thanks

Its a recruitment agency, wanted to come up with a catchy name and thought of JobJar, as its alliteration, perhaps an image of some jobs in a jar would be relevant

I like that one most out of all them. However, the logo is far too generic and suggested above, you're better off making something more relevant. If done correctly you could come up with something truly creative.

I like the image you have of the multi-coloured jigsaw. The problem is the font you are using - its not particularly stylish and quite old-fashioned.

 

Try looking on some design inspration sites for examples.

Concur with the comments above. The first thing that hit me is the lack of alignment between the logo image and the name. They're simply two random items stuck together in the hope they fit - sadly they don't. As rosiep suggests the logo and name need to have a visual relationship of some kind, other than the relationship of physical proximity. Good place to get some advice or inspiration is David Airey's site.

I have come up with some ideas like having the words JOBJAR crammed into a jar, or the words JOBJAR coming out of a jar, something along those lines. But I only have 2 days experience of Photoshop and haven't got the slightest of where to begin. Any designers out there?

I didn't find anyone i like. It is better to use a simple one. and not curvy

Out of all of them, I'd have to Say the 2nd and 6th.

But not overly keene on any of them tbh!

I like the third one best. In my opinion though, I wouldn't use the bevel and emboss on text. I think it looks tacky try other methods of adding effects to your text.

Your heading in the right direction. It needs to be more polished. The letters are too squashed and there is too much bevel (I think that's what it is) on the word 'recruitment'. Why not try combining the two ideas, like having some jigsaw peices in a jar? It might be difficult to make it look like a real jar with peices inside but it's worth a shot. Or search istockphoto for the word jar, and use somebody else's image with your text logo.
