March 29, 200917 yr Hey, I recently designed this logo on Photoshop. The logo is a combination of different fonts. However i need to edit on of the fonts, the P. I need to get rid of that arch that goes over it. and Make it look like a simpler P. Does anyone know how I can do this on Illustrator? I did it on photoshop with the eraser tool but then its not vector... I have been trying for ages and canot do it! Just started using Ai. I would really appreciate if someone wants to help Thanks guys
March 29, 200917 yr Author I must be doing it wrong. I can see all the anchor points but when i delete them it completely ruins the font... :S
March 29, 200917 yr I use inkscape but i recon it's similar. You convert the object to a path but then you need to add some nodes too cos it over simplifies. Then you should be able to adapt your font quite well when zoomed in really close. Does this help? By having it as a path, you can delete nodes or just shorten bits, etc etc.
March 29, 200917 yr I've just had a play on mine and it is definitely do - able... attached a pic for you to see how many nodes you have to edit with! I added nodes to the path with the maximum segment length being 5px which as you see is plenty but i suppose you could add more if needed. If you are still struggling, I can have a go for you if you send me a copy?
