The letters have been created using an image editor and then just rotated along the design i think. The rounded rectangle is made with a rectangular tool with rounded corners.

The leafy bits could either be from brushes or created using paths.

I'm not sure if this helps...

Do you have an image editor? If yes which? I use GIMP which is free.... there are some links to gimp and tutorials in my blog.

If you have a different editor, i am sure someone here could point you to some tutorials here and or advise :)

Edit: oops just realised you are refering to the link underneath your post...thought u meant the forum :p

Those effects are using masks mostly and layers within a photo editor... again tutorials are a plenty for this sort of stuff... just let us know which editor u use and we can point you to one :)

You can do that in Photoshop quite easily.

Firstly, create your main letter, the letter 'V' in this case, then create a new text layer and ad the f and s respectively.

Position the 'f' an 's' over the 'V' how you like using the move and free transform tools.

Select the 'V' layer. Go to 'Layer' > 'Rasterize' > 'Type'.

Making sure the f and s layer is selected, get the magic wand tool and select the background of the f and s layer. Go to 'Select' > 'Inverse'.

OK, now click the visibility icon next to the 'f' and 's' layer (the eye icon).

Press delete. You now have the letters cut out.

Add a gradient overlay and drop shadow to the 'V' layer and wham you're done.

Thanks mate

Is the V layer also a text layer? I will have a practice with that tonight. I also made a post on the freelance and legal issues form about clients viewing sites, do you have any info on what i can do about this?
