March 12, 200917 yr Hey everyone, I've got a little problem at the moment and I really need some help... I've got a client who has his current website/domain with Easyspace. He's told me he's got a number of domains on Easyspace (.co.uk - .tv - .eu - .me). Anyway - I normally use UK2 for my domains/hosting and their business package would be great for what I need. The only problem is that my client's main marketed website [and email address] is the .tv domain and UK2 don't support these. I've also looked on Easyspace and it looks like they charge to release domains. Can someone please help me with this as I don't know what to do (e.g. transfer 3 across and leave .tv/find a complete new host/buy hosting with Easyspace and keep it simple). I'm not keen on telling him to buy some Easyspace web hosting as their business package seems pretty poor and I've heard nothing but bad things about them. The main feature of the website is streaming video so I need to make sure it's a half decent host. I also don't want to start messing around with things that I don't know about, especially as his main mail account is the .tv address. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! - this is driving me mad!

March 12, 200917 yr How about... Keep the .tv domain at Easyspace, they let you do a web forward thingy, so do a web forward to .co.uk. Leave the other domains at Easyspace, but buy some UK2 hosting if that's who you like, and then just point the nameservers for the other 3 domains at your UK2 space. In the UK2 space, set the .eu and .me as aliases of .co.uk Then build the site on the .co.uk and add a PHP gizmo to it which detects if the user is viewing via one of the other domain names, and redirect them to the .co.uk page if so. This way, all users will be using 1 domain to access the site, so you shouldn't get any search engine penalties. Phew...
