February 6, 200917 yr My shared hosting is currently not viable for streaming videos and my host also informs me that their VPS is not suitable for the job. Can anyone suggest what I should do for a website that intends to show a growing catalogue of HD video (1080dpi) Cheers, Steve
February 7, 200917 yr You would probably want to look at a dedicated server. If you don't know anything about administering a web server, make sure you get one that is fully managed.
February 8, 200917 yr Author What's your budget Steve? To be honest I cant even answer that. I have no idea how much a dedicated server costs. Currently I am paying £10 a month for a reseller account and I am quite capable of selling on shared hosting and so on (i even offer automated billing), but I have no experiece with running a VPS or dedicated server where I have access to root. Lets say that my budget is £50/m although I dont know if this is going to be good enough, and that is not an estimation.
February 9, 200917 yr Have you considered looking at TSOhost's Clustered platform? www.tsohost.co.uk - that platform should be able to handle what you require. If you want to manage it yourself but have a low budget take a look at http://www.cheapvps.co.uk/plans/high-spec
