Ooh this is quite nice. I'd make your menu buttons easier to read, Verdana's a good web-safe font for buttons as you can make it small but it's still readable.

 

I'd also make your side bar headers "Blog Categories" etc bolder, the contrast between them and the background is currently too low, especially for color deficient users.

 

And increase the size of the font in the search box.

 

But other than that, very nice indeed! I hope that helps.

I like it but somehow my eyes are drawn away from the content area. I don't know if it's because it's the only white space surrounded by lots of more interesting colours... or maybe it's just me. It might help if your blog titles were a darker colour, or bold.
