Hi Guys just recently started to learn XHTML & CSS and have started to put a few web pages together.

I have been asked by a friend if i could make a few changes to his existing website, it was designed and is hosted by somebody else whats the best way to go about getting hold of the existing files.

Use an ftp programme such as filezilla or cuteftp to download all the files on his ftp to see what hes got. (Requires his ftp useername and pass)

 

If not HTTrack to download his website and all the files involved.

You could always just ask the friend for the existing website, but if he doesn't have it, you can use winhttrack. It's a free website downloader (Google it!). I suggest that you ask your friend first.
