Have a look out for the dairy milk advert with the two kids and eyebrows - that's all I'm saying.

When you've seen it, let me know what you think.

I first saw it on a music channel but I recon it's on all channels.

I think WOW! lol

I think both lol

First time I saw it I was quite confused by it lol Ever since then, I have thought it was both pretty good and weird lol

I think Cadbury are going a whole different direction of advertising recently, any strange adverts on TV (ie the gorilla one and the runway one) I associate with Cadbury.

haha I just psoted about another advert I would of posted it here if I realised! But this advert got me in stitchs, now days I'm starting to find adverts more iteresting then TV!

At the risk of getting really boring and theory based on you all.... I did an advertising degree and I think WOW! It is total outside of the box thinking from Saatchi (probably the best advertising agency in the world) in all of the ads in the campaign and it just grabs peoples attention.

The question I always get from small business when I am doing advertising is "Well how is that going to make someone buy more of my product" and the answer is "good advertising doesn't do that directly" You look at Coca Cola, Cadburys, WKD, Carling etc... None of them are direct response adverts, they all promote the brand and aim it towards quite a specific target market to make those people feel a connection with the brand.

The advertising cadbury's are putting out is all about the joy and happiness of people... Great music, funny ads and that is enough for people to see cadburys in a good light. Long gone are the days of "Buy some chocolate now because it's so tasty", it is all about positive brand recognition!

Well that is my 2penneth worth. It is a big WOW for me :)

nicely put terry. i dont have the experience you have but you said pretty much what i was thinking.

They are promoting a feeling which you then associate with them. so wow (not world of warcraft) for me.

Personally i think they are the only company with a good TV ad stratagy at the moment, they dont seem to be ripping anything off or anything, well from what i can tell. unlike tmobile, and that vitamins company and some other kitchen company thing just ripping of popular stuff from youtube.

oh yeah, here is a really good take on the gorrila advert by IFAW or sumin.. check it out

Yep Andy, that other advert is one of the best Homage adverts (taking another advert and using it as the base of your own with the intent of people going "oh it's a funny/clever copy of that other advert") I have ever seen. Another great one was the Homage advert that Tango did based on the sony bravia advert (See it Here)

When companies rip adverts off in this style, it is ok in my opinion because they aren't trying to trick you into thinking that they came up with the creative idea themselves, they are saying quite openly "Hey, we love that advert, so here is our take on it" - it is very refreshing :)

Ah I love advertising!!

wow thanks for the tango add.

im not sure if the cad advert is electro stim... at the moment im thinking its shot using continuous mode on a dslr and stiched together...

anyone elses thoughts?
