Hey guys!

I was bored in the early hours of the morning a few days ago, and decided to put google through the validator and to my suprise it didn't validate.

It had something like 60 errors.

My thought is this,

Has anyone else tried validating other sites and got a suprise like this?

Dave

I've tried it before, and I'm not really surprised. What they do is so unique that you can't expect them to always produce a valid site, whereas we're specialists in design, they care very little about design and more about function, so are using techniques that are in no way valid or recognised as a web standard, techniques that are very innovative and clever :p.

Not everyone is as perfect as us :shok:

In a site like google, making sure your sites validate at all times would take a LOT of work.

:p

Google don't generally even use doctypes... pfffft slackers.

It would indeed i guess, I know the trouble I have had with some the gallery scripts I have found.

The fun that the early hours of the morning brings. Just wondered if anyone else has found any other websites that have suprised them.

Andy, sorry I didn't know you posted it before, not been on the boards long.
