A great app for keeping Twitter in check is TweetDeck

i'm scared i'll get addicted.

They were discussing it on bbc radio the other day, because they're going to start profiting from it this year (no one can work out how).

Anyway, they said that recently, someone was in a plane crash (actually like the plane was/just had plummeting to the ground) so they logged on and updated there status to tell all there friends they're about to die.

Scares me. Weather that's true idk :p i swallow what the bbc say though * gullible*

EDIT: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/blog/2008/...e-crash-twitter (LOL!)

ok I had no idea what twitter was... then I went on the site and on the front page it says...

What is Twitter?

Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?

I'm sorry but is this seriouce?

It's a massive phenomenon, micro blogging is the new thing :p

Seriously though, everyone seems to have it. I think it's kinda lame letting people know what your doing all the time, do they really need to know? *thinks of mock the week jokes*

It sounds like the most saddist thing I have ever herd of... im guessing its for them people that update there facebook status every 5minuets...

It's shows like that which make Dave the best pass time :p

I think, one day soon, i'll try twittering. But in all honesty, i don't think i could really be that bothered.

Twitter is actually very useful, it is good for posting interesting links, chatting with friends, finding out web design tips, making new friends etc. It's like a forum, yet alot quicker.

I never thought that I would use it, but now I do, but I don't post boring stuff like "Now I am eating an apple and typing at a keyboard" useless crap.

I get your point there Mike, but I think the majorotie of people using it are saying right now...

I'm watching Jeramy Kyal on the sofa drinking tea.

You only need to add interesting people :p

Wish I was watching Jeramy!

It's a good way to network in your field there are a lot of high powered people on there that will talk to you on the service. It's not so much "What are you doing?" as it's sharing links and ideas in 140 characters. Either you get it or you don't. 8) Read my blog for more insight
