Help me get rid of IE6...

Featured Replies

Basically I have started a facebook group urging people to either upgrade to IE7 or to switch to Firefox - if you all want to join it and invite your facebook buddies to do the same then maybe we can start getting a few more people updating to IE7 at least and we can all hope that a lot of people switch over to FF :)

If you fancy helping me do my bit to get rid of ie6 and make all of our lives much easier!!! haha

I still think a virus would be the most beneficial thing to be created to wipe out IE6 permanatly!

It's the designers worst enemy!

Top man - cheers mate...

Well I have sort of hinted (in the group description) that ie6 is full of security holes and hopefully people will want to update to avoid online fraud... bit of a white lie I suppose, but if it gets some of these idiots that don't upgrade their browsers to do so then it will be so worth it!!

Why is this a white lie? That statement is 100% true.

I thought ie6 had fixed most major security bugs? it was just design bugs left?

Maybe I have heard wrong - either way, lets hope people switch soon... i bloody hate ie!!! haha

We had a thread about IE6 very recently, and mostly agreed that despite being a pain in the rear, our chances of actually getting users to upgrade is very slim to non existent. Take a look.

Yes, I've learned from the topic I started that we should support IE6 but strongly encourage people to upgrade... I learned that as a web developer that we need to support IE6 for a while yet because it is just part of our job.
