Web Space, need ideas?

Featured Replies

I've got about 25gbs of web space, which is left over from my business package.

Anyone got any ideas of what I could do with this web space to make a little money or to help promote my web design company or any ideas that are useful instead of it just sitting there wasting away.

All ideas will be appreciated and will give some webspace to the person who makes that lightbulb spark!

If I were you, I would've saved money and got a smaller hosting package. You could always use it as a sort of re-seller, but it wouldn't be that great.

Indeed, downgrade your hosting plan and spend the money on advertising/SEO work. You will benefit far more doing that. With that much web space left over, if its a shared hosting plan then it will be very oversold, so it wouldnt be wise to try to max-it-out, but check the terms of service/acceptable usage policy, as some hosts place limits on what you can do with such vast amounts of web space.

Some have limits on the number of files you can upload, some say you can only upload files directly related to your website only, others may say other things.

It's fully accessible and unrestricted webspace.

And it's free anyway because my brother works high up in a web hosting company and I work as a web designer so I get all my hosting and domains free pretty much.

But cheers for the advice anyway :)

In that case, ask for a reseller account and make some extra money from it, or you could donate the hosting space to charities in the area, that'd be a noble thing to do.

the company i work for have already built websites for all charities who want one in the area lol.

beat me to it.

but yeh sounds like a plan i'll get straight on the reseller package.

Watch out that it doesn't annoy your brother though :).
