Previewing a webpage with Facebox

Featured Replies

Yet another problem encountered by me with previewing tools...

I got the code for facebox here on Dynamic Drive.

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/facebox/index.htm

It says you can use it to preview external pages, and that was what I was trying to do. I have layouts on my site that I wanted viewers to preview with the facebox code, but when you click on the link to preview the layouts (with the exception of the first layout because it uses an image) the layout spills out down the page and is not in the facebox area...Is facebox capable of doing what I'm trying, and if so how do I fix the problem? Thanks. :3

The page with the problem can be seen here:

Are the pages you're trying to load on your server or completely external?

Are you using relative, or absolute links?

They're on my server in another directory and I'm using absolute links.

First you should tidy up all the errors and validate the page - some HTML error *could* be causing the problem so if we start with a clean sheet it should be easier to identify any issues.

Alright. I'll go do that....

I validated it and there were a bunch of errors, but most had nothing to do with the facebox thing and where only about the layout codes in the textareas. I create another page that was only what is necessary to test the facebox and it passed the validation but the problem was still there, so the problem doesn't stem from a syntax error or something.

If you want to work with the smaller less error-ridden page its here:

Well, if no one else knows what to do, then I'll just use images instead of web pages. However, I'll leave the above page up so anyone can keep trying to figure it out if they want.
