Thanks,

Are there any main things you can say that will improve my site?

Make it stand out from the rest?

Many thanks

Have you just used a web template?

- if so, that's why it doesnt stand out from the rest.. alot of hosting companies have a similar looking design to yours.

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice design, but no different to majority of host companies out there.

The load time of the site seemed really quite slow, which would put customers off as you provide hosting. Other than correcting the W3C errors and improving the speed.. I think you've done a good job

Hey Paul,

Good job overall, but I have a few things that you should consider.

1. The first thing being that the navigation is very dry, there is nothing going on when you mouse over it. You could fix that by assigning each button to a class (one class for all, unless its art, rather than typed) and add a "hover" state. Here's an example in case you don't know how to achieve such an effect:

CSS:

a.nav_button {

color:#FFFFFF; This is the color of the text on the button when it's not moused over.

font-family:"Tahoma", Arial, Adobe Garamond Pro; This is the font that the button is displaying

text-decoration:none; This determines whether the type on the button is underlined or italic or any of the other options.

}

a.nav_button span {

display: none;

}

a.nav_button:hover {

color:#FFFFFF; This is the color of the text on the button when its hovered on.

font-family:"Tahoma", Arial, Adobe Garamond Pro; This is the font when its hovered on.

text-decoration:none; This is the decoration when its being hovered on.

}

HTML:

<a href="example_link.html" class="nav_button">HOME</a>

<a href="example_link.html" class="nav_button">ABOUT US</a>

MY COMMENTS:

Maybe you want to underline the text when you go over it, for that you change the text-decoration in the hover attribute. Maybe you want to change the color to a gray, than you would change the color in the hover attribute. There's many things you can do, but that's definitely one thing I would change to liven it up a bit.

2. Another thing I would do is place a faded in image, in the gray space behind the laptop. Maybe your office with people working in it? Maybe something else, but I'm sure it will give it an extra touch.

Sorry I made this so long, but these are the only two things I suggest.

Good luck with your business, and I hope you get back to me with any changes.

-Empek

I agree with empek about the hover issue. The links seem sort of dead if they don't come alive when you hover over them. The site is very simple but as stated above is quite uniform with most hosting web sites, which isn't necessarily a bad thing! However I don't like that the text is wider than the blue header cell. It looks like it's a bug or something. All the pages are pretty much the same page, but I'm sure this will correct itself as you gain a decent following! Nice job though :)

Hi

The posts above are super.

The website looks fine, but it's a huge market.

The home page layout is so very vital, because is the magnet which pulls them in.

Perhaps it could do with being strengthened.

Good luck.

Blue, white, blah.. very generic.

Visual hierarchy feels wrong to me. First thing I'm drawn to is the 'special offers' thing, which looks like a button rather than a heading. That needs to be tied visually to the stuff underneath to show that THEY are the special offers, otherwise I'm trying to click on what I'm thinking is a button thinking it'll take me to a page of offers.

The member's area login bit is also too prominent - I'm seeing that before your logo or reading what you offer. Kinda gives the impression that you're not too bothered about new customers (as a potential new customer, that's off-putting!).

The big white space above the login is distracting.. it's drawing my eye, even though there's nothing actually there.

I reckon it needs a bit of a rethink. Try and show what makes this company different to any other host, and why I should be their customer and not someone else's. Also give some thought to what people want to see and what order they need to see it (that stuff I wrote in the rpevious paragraphs). A good example of that - you've got a badge saying "30 day money back guarantee" which I would have thought would be quite important, yet it's hidden at the bottom.. on a 1280x1024 monitor, I won't even see that unless I scroll down.

Hi

I think you would be wise to find someone to write the website face.

The word (un-happy) is not a warm choice.

Sort the selling out right - and you may then be quid’s in.

Good luck and you will soon get things up and running right.

I noticed a number of grammar mistakes.. and probably most noticeably, were you typed 'oder' instead of 'order'.

Other than that, the site is clean, and I agree with most of the posts above.
