So, i've got my website up and running. Had a few clients, mainly through my college and friends, and this helped create a small portfolio.

SEO is an on going project, learning it as I go along. Got contracts sorted, invoices... all my particulars are in place. Just something missing; clients.

This is asked and mentioned all over this place, but I was wondering what can I do to get well known. I understand I need to get my SEO up to standards, but i'm lerning that. And I dont want to pay someone to do it for me. I sent out a few letters, but got nothing back..

Been in contact with a few people, mainly coding, but that has led to a few quid and thats it.

Nothing..

So, I was wondering what else I can do? I'v not given up, and i'm simply looking for a few suggestions. There are a few web design firms around here, 2/3 maybe... and they're the first few that come up when you type mansfield web design in google..

Much thanks for any help :)

If you're trying to aim for the Mansfield community, get out there!!!

Get contacts in businesses, join local groups, do voluntary sites for charities/groups close to your heart.

ALWAYS include a hyperlinked credit. Leave all your clients so happy that they'll talk about you to others.

Make sure all your friends and family know you do web design. They'll then casually mention you.

Leave business cards with your current clients.

BE NICE!!!!! Portray a friendly approachable professional image!!
