I am getting involved with a site that wants users to be able to review a vendor such as on yelp.com and wondering if anyone knows of a good php script or software for adding this feature? Doesn't have to be free.

 

Mainly my client wants users to be able to rate vendors by a star system(or customizable graphic) AND write actual review text as well. My client would have the admin access to review/edit each review submitted.

 

I hand code everything, but am still learning php/mysql so writing one may be difficult at this point.

 

Is this a case where I'm best to use pre-made software out there or do I try to write my own? (or am I over my head?)

Use Wordpress, they have a ratings widget you could use and you could set up the comments section to be like the reviews, it wouldnt be that hard.

Thanks, I'll give that a look! I've read a bit on WordPress before when I was researching CMS, but will look again at ALL it's features.
