Much better Pat :)

It appears that the company has moved forward 10 years!

I'm crap at giving design critiques but the gap between nav and content seems a little too large for me.

Equally, the space above and to the right of the nav seems wasted/unbalanced.

The right edge of the nav could do with aligning with the right edge of the right 'column' too.

And because of your red borders on the side content, I thought I was using the web designer toolbar on firefox and hadn't reloaded the page :D (probably just me)

If you're going to use a border, I would suggest a little more padding to give the text inside room to breathe.

Also, the main text that overlays the background image is a little hard to read.

Other than that, much better!

*feel free to ignore everything that I have said :D *

Your menus have the blink, you should use the css method of having 1 image for your whole navigation, and on :hover bring the background position up. Ben did a post on it somewhere in the Tutorials Section on Horizontal Navigation, might be sticky.

I agree with ElanMan's advice on the navigation's positioning also. Very well done on modernizing your company's website!

Stop Background Images Flickering </crap site> :D

Thanks for the replies guys.

I will move things around and change the nav.

Cheers

Pat

Elan, it pains me to hear you say that about something already so great in terms of content and concept. Just because you haven't developed the style very much doesn't detract from the fact that it's a great site.

Too modest, sir!

Definitely more padding on the red bordered elements, and could do with more line spacing in the footer. Also, the reflection on the logo needs work IMO - it fades nicely, the perspective is absent. Unless you have done this deliberately, but I would suggest it would look better if you added the persective.

Looking much better than V1 though.
