Yep i've finished coding my first wordpress theme.

 

I used an existing design and customized it to wordpress. I'm pretty happy to say it was my first.

 

I know i have 3 errors in the coding. I'll look into it.

Nice integration. The body text is kind of difficult to read though (or maybe I'm just old).

I've had someone else say that, i think ill experiment with fonts.

I like it, cant you change the name to MC cromarty?

y would i want to do that?

wow - I'm impressed. I still haven't got round to doing a WP template - started absolutely months ago and then it all got shelved because I've been so busy with paid work. I might have some time to start again in July and see if I can get into it...I find it all too mindboggingly confusing, so glad you've cracked it - it looks great!

These helped alot, there pretty much the same but all sort of tell you in different ways. I think the top one is the best.

I tried Wordpress ages ago, like Esykmo, never finished it.

 

Recently been using TextPattern, the documentation can be a little fuzzy at time, but I really like it.

 

You can have different pages templates for different sections, and you can have have reusable 'forms' (ala reusable pieces of code) on many different pages, which is easy to change.

I used the first link Cromo provided ("so you want to create WordPress themes, huh?") to learn WP. For me it was the definitive guide and the only reference I needed. Highly recommend it.
