hi everyone sorry if this is a silly question, really new to all of this. can anyone give me some good links as to how to find out more about affiliate marketing? if you had a site that made money in this way would you have to declare yourself as a business? a point in the right direction for some more information would be appreciated thanks

hi everyone i finished a postgrad course in web design and multimedia a couple of months ago. ive done one website for my portfolio but looking to add more sites. we studied flash javascript silverlight html and css director i was planning to create a site that had a small amount of silverlight and flash just to demonstrate my abilities. am i wise having one site that has a lot of elements or am i better to have one site with a bit of flash, one with a bit of javascript ie for form validation and another that has a silverlight element? just not too sure how to begin my planning. i was also wondering if anyone recommend any web hosting etc or point me in the right direction? im sure this will have been asked before, sorry just looking for some help. thanks a lot

hi everyone im sorry for the probably stupidity of this post if i wanted to put an image in an exact location of a page (ie in bottom left/right corner) how could i do it? using css and the relative/absolute positioning? any help would be appreciated

hey everyone thought id post a lil message and say hi to everyone before i start askin questions well im a postgrad student studying web design and multimedia at the moment. startin off we learned html css and javascript (although my poor head still seems javascript hard to understand! ) next semester we'll be going on to study .asp and other things. im really on the forum to pick up some hints and tips as we're being asked to design and build our own website for courseowkr in jan so the more tips i can get the better. also theres the question of work experience. i spoke to someone in the family about it as he works in IT. e said I should get a portfolio together before approaching companies for work experience(he works more in the network side of things and knows nothing about web design) i thought i should start contacting companies soon, im due to finish in may then going on to do my masters, but is he right? should i get a portfolio together first which will take time? i just dont wanna finish me course and have no experience cos a lot of the jobs want you to have experience in industry. ok sorry that was more an essay than an introductory post but thats a little about me! feel free to ask more :D:D
