  1. Yup thats it...I want an image to pop up on mouse over...over the text Pastor Luke's Message. Yeah it does come off that way but if you saw how the church operates and the facilities they have...a rock band would be a good analogy. haha Seems to me the most XHTML problems are in the menu bar. I checked out the link but the guys then goes into doing an Ajax call and Im clueless there. I swear you could hear crickets when I got to that part. I just want the mouse over effect...I dont need a delayed popup. I swear this must be something simple that Im obviously overlooking.
  2. Thanks for replying to my first post. I must say this site has helped me already. I look through all the forums and constantly keep finding good tips and information so my hat is off to you all! Im 30+ years old and I am a self confessed consumer of the internet. The future is online, and if youre not online and don't know how to, you'll be passed up as technology invades our homes, wallets, cars, and airwaves. Which is a good thing! -the technology part! haha I am trying to learn as much as I can and have invested in adobe software suites, wacom board, and total training subscription that I slowly peg on a lil bit each day. I hope to learn as much as I can from much more seasoned veterans and designers here as possible! Thanks for reading my intro!
  3. no kidding mates. im in the midst of building a site for a church and I am having the dickens of a time trying to get a popup (png image) to merely popup over some text that is indented to the right inside my div. Sounds easy right? i thought so too. the page is live at: Visit My Website MY POPUP IS A STROBE EFFECT....and it is sooooooo not supposed to be. lol Im also using dreamweaver CS3. And on another note: this may be easy too...i tried to get a "on click" behavior to open a new page that is 800x600 and when I test it out on FF and IE it just opens a new tab with full screen and empty space. yuck. what am i missin here? Sorry im learnin here. Im a total noob. I just made a life decision to contribute to the net i use sooo much as a consumer and audience. Aside from the learning curve, it's real exciting so far.
  4. I could kiss you square on the lips! sorry bout not getting back sooner! tis the season!
  5. Hello everyone! Im a noob so please be gentle! And to the admins...I buy every Web Designer magazine the bookstore carries. I think they get tired of being hassled by me at the counter when I'm looking for the latest issue. lol I'm using Dreamweaver CS3 but I do have CS4 Master Suite installed if I need it. Im still in amidst of training. I am having an issue with trying to get a nice effect of when the user rolls over a thumbnail it opens a picture in a window. Very easily done. Here's the rub...I would like for when the user clicks on the thumbnail it doesn't do the mouse over effect-image restore and the loaded image stays. I want that loaded image to also be a link too. Im working on this live so if anyone wants to see the debauchery of the page Im in the middle of, you can view it here... Clicky Clicky here Ive tried to do a swap image with a image restore and then do an on click swap image with no restore. I hope I'm making sense on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just joined and I'll be searching the forums for anything in the right direction. Thanks for your help. Sorry for the double post. Just saw the how to section.
