I am trying to get the right design for my company, which should of launched at the start of Jan, now looks to be a bit longer than that... :-( Basically I need some ideas for a background to the top of my site: http://www.blandydoes.co.uk/index_front.html Have a quick look and let me know what you think I should do! I am stuck for inspiration... Cheers fellow webbies

I do have good intentions and my heart is in the right place, thank you for your comment. Have you emailed me yet? Make sure you email using an email which wont get eaten up by my spam filters. ;-) Kind Regards

Opportunities come in all directions, sizes and shapes, or shapes and sizes and in all directions... If you want to know more of what I am doing, just ask or email me at: info@blandydoes.co.uk I am really happy to list anyone on my site for free, so get in touch mate!

Right this is the tricky part because so far I have a greater response than I thought I would. I think initially it would have to be dependant on the client and which type of examples site they like, so having some good example links on my site would do favours for you, but I dont want people to feel as if they have to compete, after all the plan is for me to find work for all of you at least one project a month. Now as I have said that is not guaranteed in the beginning as I have to market the site as well and this is a new business venture so you will have to be patient with me, hence why it is free... ;-) I think if workload increases and designer come in from all over the place, then it would be subject to a mockup and price, that way giving the client a greater selection of designs to choose from, HOWEVER as previously stated, if workload increases and there are designers to fill the slots, you will all equally share the workload, like two or three a month. As for my part in all this, well I am a designer too, so I have decided to take on the role of sale manager and I will go out and market the site, try to find as much work as possible and basically run all over the country to meet and greet with clients, bringing back to you, the designer, the web spec and content... I would also like to play a part in the design process so if we say get one MASSIVE project which involves a selection of skills and knowledge then it could be that we bring the whole team of designers on board to work together on that project. This is the "round table of design" which has been a dream of mine for many a year now... lol So to answer your second question, I think it would depend on the scale of the task at hand, you could work together in the round table on big projects, OR you could just end up with one project a month outsourced directly to you, but still dealing with me as the client manager and sales manager... GOOD GOD! I need a breathe... Does that make sense? You can email me or MSN me, in fact ADD ME: blandydoes@hotmail.co.uk Please bare in mind though that this is a new venture, although I am not new to the work, so ask me any questions I will try my best to give you a straight and honest answer. I dont want to limit anyone from the list and yes the idea is a lot bigger than what I am offering right now (Which is a small profile like this: http://www.blandydoes.co.uk/index_web_designers.html) I have a beta version of something a lot bigger in the cupboard so to speak which if this proves to work well, will come out straight away and anyone who is already joined gets to be my leading team of designers to work on it... BUT first I need to prove to myself that you can work with me, and in return that I can find you all work! - Which scares me the most... lol Anyway, despite all my goings on here, it is free and its just something extra which could bring in some money for you guys, so lets keep it light and lets keep an open mind. Speak soon! PS. Anyone want to help me create some icons for the front page black buttons... I need 8 of them... (discount please?? hehehe)

I like what you are doing, you cover most areas of design. I am more than happy to include you on the team, as I say I can not guarantee you any work to begin with whilst setting it up, but it would be a honour to have you on board. Email me...

Dave, just email me your thoughts or read the above and let me know. I will let you know what I would need to get us started if you choose to join! Its all free...

Well as we all know there are many of us out there. All I would like to do is help you find some work. My aim is to list as many designers as possible on my site in the web development section and then basically go out there in the world of marketing and find you work. I will meet with clients to discuss options ect and budgets, taking down everything that is needed for you to create a mock, then passing these details to you, you will be able to quote for the project. I will add a small % on top of the quote for my part in the job (which is basically the sales bit) and then we just work together to complete the project. I will make sure content is ready when needed and liaise with the client and yourself until the job is done. In terms of what I require, just people who think this may be another good source of income for you, I mean I can not guarantee any large volumes of work to begin with, but the more heads we have on one site, the better the odds of getting people to take a notice right? I guess it is an agency, but I dont want you to think of it like that, after all I am designer too and my brother is a IT Consultant and together with some other friends, we are building a company that offers many IT related services. Who knows where it will lead in a years time, but you could be apart of it too and the team of designers...? I am still working on the site as we speak, I have many pages to create so I am trying to respond to all these as quickly as I can. Email me if you do want more details. Oh skills... Well basics first: XHTML, CSS would be nice, if you are a graphic designer, that is also a big bonus Over and above: This would be flash animation, video production, photography etc anything extra that you could offer clients would mean more money in your pocket in the long run. Database Driven: I would like to find some genuine coders of unknown languages to me like PHP, ASP, Perl and other exotic names that I have only seen and read a bit into but could be very useful! E-Commerce: Anyone who can make a shop is great in my book. I design shop fronts but the coding up of a shop would be nice to have. Dont forget even if one project comes in and I can use your skills I will speak with you and we can arrange payment for your help. I currently use Erol for my shop designing. Investors: Of your time... I really would like to meet some people who would be willing to give up some free time to help me establish this online brand. I can explain more if you are interested, but put it this way, this company as it stands right now is just the beginning of something a lot bigger, you may have seen me post about it on here before, but seriously, it is a big idea and I need help designing the beta version. So again as a little extra, if you are interested there, let me know. PHEW! ;-) I think that about covers it, but if you need to know more, please email me...

I think I posted this already, in fact I know I did but twice is always nice... So I am building a team of designers, would you like to join me? If so visit my website or email me at: team@blandydoes.co.uk THANK YOU!

Dear all, Hope everyone had a good Christmas! Basically I want to build a new team of designers. I am looking for talented individual freelancers who may require a little extra pocket money by offering their services to my clients. (Outsourcing in other words but with a difference) Take a look at my site in progress: www.blandydoes.co.uk As a web designer myself, I admit that I have limitations to what I can offer clients so I wish to fill that void by bringing peopel on board with me. The commission is good and well... just get in touch if you like what I have to offer. OPEN AS OF NOW TO ANYONE Requirements: Must have some form of IM for contact and be available for projects at short notice, but we can always work around this. I am especially looking for freelancers who are established and just want another avenue to market their services... Thank you, Kind regards, Richard Bland Managing Director BLANDY DOES - Do you? info@blandydoes.co.uk www.blandydoes.co.uk

Hello, I am looking for a flash developer to offer some free time to help with a project. More detail can be given if you are interested. For now, I am developing The Portal... www.blandydoes.co.uk If you wish to join me on my quest for the future, why not give me a shout! ;-)

Good Afternoon, or Morning, depending on your location... I would like to introduce you to an idea of mine, but for more of a detailed description of what I would like to do, I will ask you to email me first. I am looking for the support and collaboration of like minded individuals to create the worlds first Digital Design Agency based around a 3Dimensional platform... I am looking at a design such as: http://www.blandydoes.co.uk/AWOA.jpg I call it AWOA, or "A World of Artists"... where there is no end to the possibilities! I am looking for a flash developer to work with initially, someone who will be willing to work for free for a 50% stake in the company. You must be willing to give your time freely, as I will, and must have the ability to see the vision of what I am portraying. There is no money involved here initially, I aim to set this up with no start up costs, understanding why I am doing this will become clearer when you talk to me. I am a pioneer. Take one look at my design, if you can see what I see, in terms of the future way in which the web works, browsers work, the way mobile technology is going, the way people will be able to spin and zoom into locations to find their designer of choice... Then you can see where I am heading with this 3D world, this 3D Universe! If you can, come visit me at www.blandydoes.co.uk - where I will set out a vision for you to follow... "If we build it they will come" I am interested to hear from anyone who may be looking for investment potentials, or who may wish to offer help in building the Beta version... anyone who helps will get a share in the company as it grows and forms into reality... I am a 23 year old Pioneer and Visionary of the Future, I think outside of the box and in todays world it may seem crazy to just come here and ask for help, but I am here and I am asking for help! - Crazy is the new Sane... Welcome to my world! Blandy
