  1. yar, that's the site I was talking about. It says that Palatino Linotype is one of the common ones, but it also says that it's only installed on Mac if "Classic"(?) is installed. What's this Classic thingy? and is it common??
  2. Just a quick question: I need to know if this font is compatible with most browsers/computers? I saw a font compatibility site which featured all the common fonts that are automatically installed on peoples computers and it listed it as one of the common ones.. so just double checking. plz answer thx
  3. nvm.. just found out that Times New Roman with smaller font sizes has a crappy anti-alaising.. I'm going with a new font - Palatino Linotype
  4. The bottom quote is on the last paragraph in Opera..
  5. I have a weird problem at hand.. My site is using mainly the 'Times New Roman' font cos it really fits with the design and all.. It all looks quite well in Photoshop but when I translate it to HTML the parts with the italics on look very weird on Opera and Firefox(looks ok in IE btw). I suspect that it's an anti-alaising problem and these browsers doesn't seem to pick it up or something.. Does anyone have an idea or a quick html fix for my problem? thnx in advance, ~tony
  6. hehe, thanks, I'll look into it ^^
  7. btw, i think I found how my lines can be called(if I'm to search in google, which I will xP) -- Curly HR line, or fancy HR line .. or w00teva xD
  8. Thank ya verymuch man xD
  9. hehe well screening a handdrawn sketch is always a good option, but I still dunno how these lines are called or how do draw them... Perhaps one knows some sites or a collection of simmiliar graphics that I can modle after? thx

  11. Anyyyyonnneee???
  12. Hum.. still nothing? Can anyone please tell me at least how this effect is called? (I doubt "curly line" in google will give me w00t i'm searchin for..)
  13. yar, but when I read PS tutorials I learn diff techniques to manipulate PS, which isn't just useful for the specific effect that the tutorial talks about, but you can also implement those for diff projects. I'm still learning so my PS arsenal isn't that gr8

  17. Hey guys, I'm looking to add a sort of metalic or wooden line just above the footer of my site which would look sort of like this: (scrambeled these 2 variations in windows's standard paint cos im lazy xP) Anyways, does anyone knows how this effect called? Or has any ideas/tips on how I go about creating this? Or maybe you know a site which has this effect which I can get inspiration from? Cos I seen quite a few sites which utilize this line but can't recall where I've seen it... Anyhowz, plz halp! p.s. The lines offcourse don't need to be like in the picture, jsut the general idea of it.
  18. http://www.aweber.com Well, it's not exactly a software, rather a subscription site, but one of the best nonetheless xD
  19. I think that he added a new Image over it.. If I got this right your technique allows only change colors. Can't I change the image of the scroll bar??
  20. Can anyone plz tell me how do I create a light colored old perchment effect in Photoshop? I've seen the "clouds" version(s) but the paper's edges always look crap in the tutorails that I find in Google.. Can anyone link me or post here a step-by-step guide(as I'm still learining to design in Photoshop) xP p.s. I'd also appreciate some tips to tile it for my website, I need it to be a small file as possible. (size(in mb's), dimentions, how to tile..) thanks xD
  21. How do I create an overlapping scroll bar like in this site: http://www.32round.com/ ?? plz halp
  22. Well, here: https://www.theheadsofstate.com/#/storehome.php It's only remotely simmiliar to what I want, but the general concept is the same. I need the lower categories to drop and only then all the sub-categories burn themselves in(not as fast as in the given site). And offcourse, burning effect, not fade, although it sorta the same.. I think.. Anyways, I need a burning on paper effect. btwz, as Google spiders can't read flash how can I hide the keywords behind the categories and sub-categories that are on the sidebar/navbar?? Alt tags doesn't count as regular keywords, right?
  23. Thanks all p.s. WDF, rofl!!! xD
