    I am in the same boat as you, i am just starting out really and have done a few sites for my family and friends. Most of this is through word of mouth. I did come across this site, whichwebdesigner.co.uk offering 2 free leads have got one lead so far and just putting together a quotation. This might help you generate clients. I have also posted on gumtree, not had anything yet.
