Hi I have been tasked with creating a webpage that picks up information regarding network printer ink levels etc. Its similar to individual netowrk printers having web access, but they want all information on one page so they don't have to input each ip address individually. I have asked on a Tech forum and they advised that web designers and programmers will probably be the best people to ask as ou guys and girls 'have a fountain of web knowledge' Most companies program them in JavaScript, but I don't have any JavaScript experience, can anyone shed any light on this? Thank you

Has anyone had any dealings wil emailmeform.com? The reviews seem to be mixed between its good and works well or its a scam. So just wondered if anyone has heard or dealt or used their service? Thanks

Hi. I have been asked to insert a Java applet into a web page (simple enough), except because of the way the company is setup it is being done in Dreamweaver, and every time I try to preview the page I get the following error message Can't see the problem I don't need javascript info in the code so it should work. oad: class /allkara-en.jar not found. java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: .allkara-en.jar at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2ClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2ClassLoader.loadCode(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2Manager.createApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2Manager$AppletExecutionRunnable.run(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: \allkara-en\jar.class (The system cannot find the path specified) at java.io.FileInputStream.open(Native Method) at java.io.FileInputStream.<init>(Unknown Source) at java.io.FileInputStream.<init>(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.file.FileURLConnection.connect(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.file.FileURLConnection.getInputStream(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2ClassLoader.getBytes(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2ClassLoader.access$000(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2ClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) ... 7 more Exception: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: .allkara-en.jar Thanks. Stop the press!!! I'm getting somewhere. I just tried my localhost test and now it processes but I get: An error occurred while processing the form . Please contact us (localhost) directly since this form is not working . localhost apologizes for any inconvenience this error may have caused. I have also re-tried the php script topshopper gave me and it displays the text correctly but does not show the green text to show php is ok I used the php 5.3 installer then installed WAMP is that right? But I'm still getting the php_mbstring.dll is missing where should this be installed to?

I'm running XP with SP3. I tried the link you gave previously, but that showed the whole php script on my page and knocked out my content

I have just installed WAMP and i get a load of error messages about different dll files missing when i try to start it
  8. webone replied to webone's topic in Server Side
I have re-installed PHP and now all .php extension files have the PHP logo not dreamweaver (thats a start). But this time when I click on submit it asks me if I want to open/save/cancel the file then says that some dll's are missing. It prints hello world and Test Script for PHP If PHP is present then it will be indicated below. If you see nothing below then PHP cannot be used on this site. for the other test but nothing else The thing is: I don't even know if the actual script works I got it from tectite.com so am hoping it does but I don't understand php
  9. webone replied to webone's topic in Server Side
Yes the script is saved with a .php extension. But I don't understand why even the test doesn't show anything except the php script. Will try installing PHP one more time
  10. webone replied to webone's topic in Server Side
Ok, the action does point to the script. I have just restarted my machine, and tried to open the test script as provided above. But I have dreamweaver installed on my machine so I have to right-click and open with IE, but still only see the actual script. Other than that I suppose I'll have to upload my pages and hope for the best but that is not what I want to do. I installed PHP via the windows installer. and IIS was already installed
  11. webone replied to webone's topic in Server Side
That might be why I didn't restart my machine. Also my fomr page is html and is saved as such but points to the php script which is a separate file, should I change the page extension from .html to .php?
