  1. Hamburger menu issue with js

    @webguru The site is not online but just being developed on my pc. Its an artist's site hence the hamburger concept. I know there is a battle between developers for and against using any hamburger menu. @@rbrtsmith Thanks for the thorough explanation. I am purely a front end designer hence the code errors. Still learning 'bout javascript and getting my head around what works where and why.
  2. Hamburger menu issue with js

    I am developing a super simple single page site for a client. It has a hamburger menu top right that should trigger a dropdown. But the javascript doesn't link for some reason. Only tested with Chrome. Any ideas please? <script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.2.1/jquery.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(".menu-toggle").on('click', function() { $(this).toggleClass("on"); $('.menu-section').toggleClass("on"); $("nav ul").toggleClass('hidden'); });</script> </head> <body><div class="container-fluid" style="background: #d3ccbd;"> <div class="menu-section"> <div class="menu-toggle"> <div class="one"></div> <div class="two"></div> <div class="three"></div> </div> <nav><ul role="navigation" class="hidden"><li><a href="#">work</a></li><li><a href="#">about</a></li><li><a href="#">contact</a></li></ul></nav></div> CSS .menu-toggle { width: 40px; height: 30px; position: absolute; top: 20px; right: 25px; cursor: pointer; &.on { .one { @[member=Include] transform(rotate(45deg) translate(7px, 7px)); } .two { opacity: 0; } .three { @[member=Include] transform (rotate(-45deg) translate(8px, -10px)); } } } .one, .two, .three{ width: 100%; height: 5px; background: white; margin: 6px auto; backface-visibility: hidden; @[member=Include] transition-duration(0.3s); } nav ul{ margin: 0; padding: 0; font-family: Open Sans; list-style: none; margin: 4em auto; text-align: center; &.hidden { display: none; } a { @[member=Include] transition-duration(0.5s); text-decoration: none; color: white; font-size: 3em; line-height: 1.5; width: 100%; display: block; &:hover { background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0.5); } } } .menu-section { &.on { z-index: 10; width: 100%; height: 100%; display: block; background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0.5); position: absolute; } } [code]
  3. PHP Simple Contact Form error

    Thanks for your replies. @ChiefTrollHunter Thanks for your suggestions - I will try them. Its pretty old code that I dredged up from somewhere that works with other sites. @unhinged Thanks for your amended code. Tried it and it still renders a blank page.
  4. PHP Simple Contact Form error

    I have a super simple form processor on my site but it keeps returning a 500 error. http://hayesint.co.nz/index.php/contact My form: <?phpif(isset($_POST['submit'])) { // CHANGE THE TWO LINES BELOW $email_to = "rob@finelinecreative.co.nz"; $email_subject = "Website Form"; } // validation expected data exists if(!isset($_POST['name']) || !isset($_POST['email']) || !isset($_POST['phone']) || !isset($_POST['message'])) { died('We are sorry, but there appears to be a problem with the form you submitted.'); } $name = $_POST['name']; // required $email = $_POST['email']; // required $telephone = $_POST['phone']; // not required $message = $_POST['message']; // not required } $email_message .= "Name: ".clean_string($name)."\n"; $email_message .= "Email: ".clean_string($email)."\n"; $email_message .= "Telephone: ".clean_string($telephone)."\n"; $email_message .= "Message: ".clean_string($message)."\n"; } // create email headers$headers = 'From: '.$email."\r\n".'Reply-To: '.$email."\r\n" .'X-Mailer: PHP/' . phpversion();@mail($email_to, $email_subject, $email_message, $headers); header("Location: http://www.hayesint.co.nz/index.php/thanks"); } ?>[code] Anyone spot anything obvious?
  5. Great response - thanks. Yeah I am using Google Webmaster Tools. I'll check the canonical. I also had a big issue with page load speed and optimised the code and the photos as much as I could. The other issue was the robot.txt which excluded a number of files used by the CMS (Concrete5). I have relaxed this.
  6. http://www.waikatocampervansites.co.nz I have a website with a standard html5 homepage that links through to a sub-directory where my ecommerce software sits (Opencart). What is the seo protocol for best results? I have added all meta tags for both homepage and cart pages and separate analytics for the homepage and cart. But Google's Fetch and Render returns a 'partial' result. BTW I am using Concrete5 as the CMS platform for the homepage which usually brings great results for me. But the index request is just sitting in my webmaster tools without being actioned. Any advice appreciated. Thanks
  7. I am trying to change an existing form to allow emails to forward to selected recipients from a dropdown. I've got the form sorted but am in the dark as to making it work in my php form script. //SMTP SETTINGS require 'PHPMailerAutoload.php'; $mail = new PHPMailer; $mail->isSMTP(); // Set mailer to use SMTP $mail->Host = 'smtp.webhost.co.nz'; // Specify main and backup server $mail->SMTPAuth = true; // Enable SMTP authentication $mail->Username = 'xxx'; // SMTP username $mail->Password = 'xxx'; // SMTP password $mail->SMTPSecure = 'ssl'; // Enable encryption, 'ssl' also accepted $mail->Port = 465; $mail->isHTML(true); // Set email format to HTML //SMTP SETTINGS $name = $_POST['name']; $email = $_POST['email']; $phone = $_POST['phone']; $message = $_POST['message']; print_r($_POST); $mailheader = "From: $email"; $subject = "Patchell Website Enquiry"; $message = "Name: $name<br/>Email: $email<br/>Telephone: $phone<br/>Message: $message"; // Send the mail $sendTo = $_POST['branch']; $mail->From=$mail->Username; $mail->addReplyTo($email, $email); $mail->Subject = $subject; $mail->Body = $message; $mail->IsHTML(true); $result = $mail->send(); header('location: http://www.patchell.co.nz/index.php/thanks');
