  1. Hello, yes, you are correct, there are settings for the outgoing mail's stuff, I've set them to the exact same like on the original site, so basically the same e-mail, same login, same port etc. but for some reason the outgoing mails are working on the original site but on the copied one they won't. As far as the DNS case goes, I honestly have no idea how the hell and where the hell the DNS settings are located, can't find them anywhere, additionally most of the .php files on my FTP are unaccessable - by that I mean that by opening them using a WordPad/Notepad - there's just random ****load of strings that I have no idea what these strings mean. The copied site is hosted on the same FTP as the original one (same FTP server, different folders/directories obviously). What mail method am I using? Honestly I have no clue, I can send you a screenshot of the settings I've got in my control panel of the site (bear in mind it's in Polish tho):
  2. Hi! Yeah I've been talking with hosting provider's support and sent them screenshots of SMTP settings on both sites and they said that it's the problem on the software end of the site (the site is coded/made by some random polish company, that's probably what they meant), although I'm pretty sure they have no idea what they're talking about. All they asked me to change was the port of the SMTP setting which only made my site freeze, besides that I can state that they are pretty clueless because most of the times when I asked them for help I had to fix stuff myself as they had no idea lol.
  3. Hello everyone, firstly I'd like to apologize if I've posted this thread to a wrong section, unfortunately I'm new here and new to webmastering/webdesigning(whatever) but I'm working for a company that has an online shop/store just like any other. Unfortunately, everybody in my company has no clue how to change most of the stuff (like graphics, FTP-related things etc.) and as I'm the only one who surfs internet most of the time during my job, I'm the one to actually manage the site and modify it. Now the problem is that my boss told me to copy this site and change the copied one into another shop (different graphics, names etc.). So I've copied the first site that's working properly, modified the graphics/colors, changed titles/names, everything went smoothly, but there's one thing that's annoying - the SMTP outgoing mails aren't working properly even though I've got the settings set to the original ones from the first site (which sends out e-mails properly without any problems) but unfortunately the copied site doesn't send registration/notification e-mails whatsoever. So I'm stuck pretty much with fixing this problem as I have no clue nor experience in webmastering/webdesigning, that's why I've created this thread.
