You've missed my point. It is not a plugin I seek. I seek information on how better to optimize the page in question so that it will elevate itself based on the keyword search term I initially mentioned.

If you go to Google and type in "education cartoons" my page here will appear at the bottom of Google's results and am asking any knowledgeable WP aficionados how I can better optimize that page for elevating the results in the search engine(s). Keep in mind I also employ the Yoast plugin but asking if anyone can provide "guidance" on what I can do regarding "description" and "title" and keywording. Am I missing something? At least I am on the first page, but feel I can do much better.

I mean does the http://danscartoons.com/category/banking/ extension affect my results in the search engines based on the chosen tags and keywords for that specific page? I ask this, due to have 50 or 60 other important pages in my site.

My mistake Jane . . . being relatively new to WP I am sometime misreading things....I believe you're correct (see screenshot)....so if my site is actually "backed up", then all I need to do is hit that "update to 4.0" button but before I do, I want you to see it visually. I'm being cautious but want to be certain and then this way, I'll know the steps next time. I have an IT person on another part of the planet who backed it all up and right now I cannot bother him and want to get this next step taken care of. This site of mine was built over a period of 13 months by myself and the guidance of the IT person....so I learned as I went (putting up pages vs. posts etc.) so hope you'll understand. I initially started learning web building using Microsoft's FrontPage 2002 so this was a big step up, moving away from that HTML-based mentality. Thanks for any feedback . . . . .

I am trying to update my WP site and have backed up my site. In my tutorial, I am now trying to update to version 4.0 but in order to do so, need to now go to "databases">"my sql databases" BUT, where do I find databases in the column on left while logged into my dashboard? I.e. it shows: HOME, POSTS, MEDIA, PAGES, COMMENTS etc....where do I navigate to access "databases"?

That suggestion you made DID help dewlance....thank you....3,170 comments flushed just like that...now see the screenshot....there are still these "in moderation"....how to get rid of them? Do I still need to manually delete these? I appreciate the other suggestion but trying to avoid relying on too many plugins. Thank you though. See attachment if you can help.

When I log into my wp admin, there are 3,171 comments and 2,110 in moderation. These are actually all spam because I have manually deleted those in my Outlook Express emails as they have come in over as many months. Is there a quick and simple way to delete all of these at once? As opposed to checking them off manually and deleting all on a single page, one page at a time....it would take days I think. Too much spam and really I have no comments worth saving as my blog and site don't get any traffic...YET

Yes, I've created all the artwork throughout....invested many years of effort and thought it best to put it all in one collection and offer for reprinting. Thank you for the response. As you'll notice, that one cartoon I link to in particular is about "google" and I tagged it as such (i.e. "google"). But then this is where my curiousity goes deeper.....what if I edit that tag to read "google cartoon" instead? Is adding that extended keyword (cartoon) a good idea? I would then add the word "cartoon" after all other tags throughout and for each specific image. If you have thoughts on this part of it, it would be great hearing. For instance, if you were putting up a similar site, think how you would do it in tagging images. I would have answered sooner, but the forum didn't let me know there was actually an answer here and I had to manually check back!

Thanks greatly....good hearing your views on the "value" of the plugin itself. My question regards "tags" and as I previously mentioned, I have about 4,000 images throughout my site (my site is actually an image licensing database). And to help understand, here is a sample page and if you click each link in the yellow banner(s) below each cartoon, it opens up a separate page with an image gallery of all images in that collection and then "tags" at the bottom of each page pertaining to the main image (at top of page). My questions are: #1. What is the ideal number of tags Yoast allows for each image? #2. Since my images are "cartoons", should the keyword "cartoon" also be added along with each image tag? I agree, I like the comprehensive ways the plugin can be formatted, very unique and in order to use it to my advantage, just wondering these basics as to if I am using it to the best of it's ability. I rebuilt my old Frontpage2002 site using Wordpress and spent roughly 13 months on the rebuild, layout and re-launch which I did last February. I installed the Yoast plugin for SEO and have a couple questions about certain aspects of the plugin. Am curious if anyone here is using it and willing to offer some guidance and feedback? Any help apprecited. Thanks! PS: as a new member here, may I post the actual URL hyperlink here? My site has roughly 9,180 pages inclusing over 4,000 categorized images. (thought I properly tagged each image with Yoast....not sure)
