  1. anyone got an feedback on the final design please? (link in my sig)
  2. i've changed the site design once again. i think i'm going to stick with this one. any errors of bugs you can spot would be helpful and any feedback on how i can improve the site would be great thanks
  3. after loads of advice to get away from tables, i opted for css and gave the site another go. any opinions are welcomed www.corporaterunning.co.uk
  4. I'm just after responses for some research i'm doing. It would be great if you could answer a few questions. Thank you for your time http://freeonlinesurveys.com/rendersurvey....o25npsygp467880
  5. you can access the site at http://www.corporaterunning.co.uk/index1.html now someone must know how to fix this, it's driving me crazy
  6. i built up my site with a wizard so the majority of the files were created by that. i have edited bits here and there to suit. the site was sitting to the left of the screen, so i centralised this by adding "align=centre" within the table code for each page this worked great except my java menu hasn't moved properly when you hover the mouse over the navigation; the images change as they should, but on 3 of the pages there are sub menu's where you get a popout sub menu to see the additional pages. this pop out hasn't moved with the site and it still in the position it was originally. how do i go about just moving the sub menu pop out? from what i can see, there are 3 .js files in my ftp (which i am assuming one is controlling this action) subnavig.js mouseover.js gen_subnavig.js i don't know which file it would be and i've no idea on what sort of code i should be looking for to edit. you can see this problem on corporaterunning .co.uk
  7. ok this has took me a few hours but turned out to be a simple answer, i trying loads of different methods (trial and error really) i found this to work <BODY bgcolor=#FFFFFF leftmargin=0 topmargin=0 marginwidth=0 marginheight=0 background="img/base/ba101.gif"> <TABLE id="Table_01" width=780 height=601 border=0 cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0 align="center"> i just added in the aligin code. hopefully this will serve the purpose i need it too. i also edited the ba101.gif bg file to match so i kept my black line and shaddow on the outide. one problem that is really bugging me though, the pop out menu needs to be moved. can anyone tell from the sourcecode what file is in control of this pop out menu? i just need to shift the pop outs to the right by about 95px so it matches thanks
  8. so what code would i need to paste in to centralise the page? i'm very basic in my html knowledge here, so things might need to be explained simple
  9. my site isn't built using ccs and doesn't have a style sheet, its all html i'm assuming i can't just paste the ccs coding into the html page, i have to place a link to a style sheet somewhere and paste the ccs code into that sheet? i've managed to shift the page to the centre using a large table surrounding everything, but my drop out menus have moved with the page and also my background image (the black line with the shaddow fade) needs to be edited to fit which could cause problems
  10. might be a silly question (yes i'm limited in my design knowledge) but how do i do this? i've designed this in an online wizard then tweaked the html files to suit what i want. which file will control the whole layout of the page?
  11. http://track.flocasts.org/auth/login you'll need to sign in to see it, but its free to join
  12. i'm pretty basic in my webdesign knowledge but was hoping there is some user friendly software out there i can put intergrate into my site. what i'd ideally like is a place where users can log in and create a profile, add a picture, add personal details so we have an online profile of each client (age, height weight, fitness level etc) and also a place where they can type in their current training (eg time or distance of training runs) and then that info then plots onto an excel bar graph so they can see their progression with training. i know its quite specific and i might be hitting and hoping but there is a similar type of software on an american running website which i've seen. so what i want to know is could i download this sort of software as a template or does it all need to be written out? if the code had to be written out to my specific needs, what sort of price do designers charge for this, i mean just roughly, £100, £200?? any help is appreciated, thanks
  13. hi there, i'm new to webdesign and self taught so quite limited in what i do, but just put together this new site i'd just like some feedback on the general look of the site please and anything i could add to better it or if there's any real errors in it's layout, navigation etc also i'm thinking of changing the orange colours to various shades of green. i will however put a matching skin on the advice forum once i've decided on a base colour. once the business gets moving i'l be adding videos of fitness sessions and a gallery of images www.corporaterunning.co.uk is the website. any positive comments welcomes, negative...well, be nice, i'm new!
