  1. Thanks for your adsvice thusfar its useful! do you think starting late at 35 will really be a disadvantage? I worry I am too old and don't have the credentials to really make it. Is this true? also is there a specific AREA in web design that might be more in demand than another? Do you think learning Python would be useful also? people tell me its useful to know a programming language or some programming languages also.
  2. Hi I am new and I am just dipping my toe into the water of the whole website design/creation/maintenence/webspace industry. I am trying to see if there is much money that can be made in it as I have heard mixed opinions. I can tell from this forum that the public interest is lively which is good but some friends have told me there is simply too many people doing this kind of work and its overcrowded. The opportunities are not there anymore like in the late 90's early 2000's when the internet was still getting on its feet commercially and lots of website developers/creators and maintenence IT people were in demand. What is the truth here please? where does the industry stand? what is my best bet if I want to try and learn something website related be it design or creation or whatever. I am trying to see where the market is at these days and what to do if anything is worth doing. I really don't want to spend years learning programming and website design coding etc only for it to basically be useless in the grand scale of things due to too many people already doing it etc and I am approaching 35 so I am not a spring chicken anymore with bags of time! Whats your advice here please. Thx.
