Hi all, I'm currently setting up a site that handles personal financial information of its users and I'm wondering what cover I would need in the event data is lost or stolen. Would this be covered by my indemnity insurance or would I need to take out another policy? The only personal identifyer the site holds is an email address along with the financial details, but no names, addresses, dobs etc... Thanks for your help.

I got a quote from HSBC when I set up my business account with them for £250K of cover for 157.50 per year or you could pay monthly installments with no interest. I think they also offer to backdate the cover up to three months as well so you could wait until you get some cash in first. Hope this helps.

Thanks notbanksy for your comments, these were v helpful and I am working on some changes based on these. The rest of the comments were not so great. Obviously I'm disappointed the site did not receive rave reviews but ultimately I thought the purpose of this forum was to provide constructive feedback, which these other comments were not.
