Thanks you for your comment. Especially for tolerating such a long wait to view my website. Personally, I will definitely close my browser if it takes such a long time to load. Let's hope that I can find some good and cheap hosting service in the future instead of hosting it at home. Your "left-right UI conventions" point of view is gorgeous. Funny that I found myself totally in the programming way of thinking when I build that control. It was the straightforward idea that the left-facing arrow make the response holder movieclip go left resulted in such error. Then I probably incorporated the same idea as I use the control so I did not feel anything wrong. You are the first one to specifically point it out. I've update the flash to address the problem. But you may need to remove the temp. internet files and go through the unacceptably slow download process again to see update.

Me too cannot replicate the error. I hope that is only a one-time thing.........thanks for reminding me~

rjdejong, please tell me where you see the warning/error.......i cannot fix anything without it. But the suppose the problem to be network condition related. I am actually hosting the website at home (i live in China - Hong Kong), speed in local area is fine, but i hear many oversea users complain about download speed. If transmission is really slow, I guess the all those webservice call and XML loading procedures may suffer or even time-out. Shaun, of course your post is a huge defence. I am really glad to have some experienced professional like you to stand by my side. Do you mean they are not creative? Wow.........how dare you are?! HAaaaaaaaaaa (just kidding) headcoat, "but usability && design && experimentation > just one or the other" , this formula is puzzling me probably the same way my website is puzzling some of the users. But I still like that, so thank you too~

I see some progress here. So now you are like saying that exploration in the expense of usablility is fine for non-information based website like mine. But mine is still not acceptable because the exploration I require users to do is not well-planned and funny. Then I would like to ask what kind of exploration experience is good and worth doing. Because I do came across users like Shaun(in 1 of the replies) who found things funny and not so hard to work out. As the question hits me, I just find it so profound and elusive. Really interesting subject here. Everyone give your reponse...pls pls pls~

the layout is nice and clean. I guess users won't get confused as if they are in my site . To me, adding the fishcam thing in a corporate site is a bit oddward, but if that is one of your product then it is certainly another case. I just want to ask "quite a lot of money" is like how much......I know it is none of my business but...ya...

It is indeed not a consumer-centric website. Still, so many people judge it like it were. That's why I feel it deserves a little bit of defending.

First of all, I just hope you guys won't look at me as always trying to defend myself. I am glad that some of you can appreciate at least the aesthetic aspect of it. "Users for Amazon are consumers and will want immediate purchase i.e. 100% usability", I think there is nothing wrong with the statement.....hm..... But mine is a personal website, so I just wanted to put aside those accessibilty, usability, UAT kind of things away and do something......... But statistically, more people hate it rather than appreciate it. And I got to admit though, even for those who find it beautiful, funny, cool.....etc, they often still have concern about the confusion users when they first arrive. And there are a whole lot of people who is more willing to raise their complaints in terms of functionality than their complaints for look and feel (I include this thread as evidence: http://www.webdesignerforum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=8626).

i did considered adding some labels although, at last, i decided rather not to. my reason was......it is funnier and prettier this way. hm....... turns out many people really hate this kind of mystery meat navigation. Just I've never said I want this website to be user-friendly, but many users complain about that. So, i guess it's really something indispensible nowadays ~.~

nonono......you weren't harsh at all. i got some even more fierce responses. Actually, i do this website main for fun and putting my photos online. I have changed my focus to coding for sometime. For this website, I just do not want to do those standard header..... footer......menu......kind of layout. Also, i neglect those who i am, what i have done.......kind of text which i think is usually skipped by users like me. All i want is for the viewers to have a bit of experimental and funny experience. Just turns out not many people enjoy that. ONE MORE thing to mention, here is like the most popular design forum in the world. My post got 3 replies and dozens of view in just about 15 minutes. Amazing!!
