I'm trying to make a one page template on wordpress by modyfing twentythirteen, but I noticed that if I don't use the blog index page, I can only put the content of only one page in my index. Is there a way to use wordpress's page codes to show the content of another page? I tried adding again the same codes I used for the first part of the content in that page, but editing them with ids from other pages doesn't seem to do much. Any advice to get around this?

Little update. Looks like the whole thing Mr Ben posted isn't woking, Wordpress gives me an error saying that it couldn't parse "name". I got it to work with: <?php Template: *custom name* ?>

Just checked on an older version and there was a template option on every page .-.

I started making simple html signatures on an IPB forum. After that I tried doing a website using cutenews and then learned how to use Mybb and wordpress.

Height at 100% looks like it could work, but everything else just gets mashed over it if use absolute or fixed position. Any way to get around that?

That's actually something pretty useful if you need some bonus likes on Facebook or Twitter. Love it :3

Usually most people don't change the Admin page login adress, so I guess you could try adding /wp-admin. I don't use Joomla, but I think the same basic concept from before can still be used.

Sorry for the title but I'm not that good at summarizing my posts. So, I found some cool examples of one page layouts, and in some of them, the first part that usually contains a slideshow or something similar, automatically sets its height to the height of your browser page. (ex: http://demo.pixelentity.com/?visia) How can I do something like this? Also, any good slideshow plugins for wordpress where you can slide text and images at the same time?

I just updated my local wp to 3.7.1 and I can't find the option to set to a single page a custom template. I'm pretty sure you could do that in the last version, and it was really handy, did they just remove it? Are there any ways to get around this? Because right now I have absolutely no idea on how to make my static page different from other pages. Any help?

Hello, I'm a 19 year old guy from italy. I've been doing some webdesign as an amateur for the last 4-5 years and I'll hopefully start studying it properly from next year. And yeah, I actually never searched for a webdesign forum, not sure why. I guess I'll just stick around for some thime and figure out how the place is :3 (Also: I love IPB, good choice)
