  1. Wow, I am sorry to hear that but also kinda glad it's not just me! I feel your pain for sure! I still haven't had any contact from them and that was 2 weeks ago so I think it will just amount to nothing!
  2. 4li4s, thanks for the welcome! I have defo jumped through hoops. I tend to do all I can for a client and if it steps over what was agreed I will let them know politely and if it isn't too much extra work I am willing to accommodate to build a good working relationship for future projects. In this case it meant going in for an "urgent meeting" drove a 3 hour round trip to stay there for a total of 15mins while he asked me 1 question that could have been asked over the phone! I didn't even need to get my laptop out! I think in this case he is a fool! I am glad it's not just me that thinks it! ;-) rallport Haha, that IS where I went wrong! I need to look at my terms and add things like this in to cover myself. I always ask for an email stating they are happy with xyz and to proceed. To be honest he did mention there was another project coming up but after all that has happened (the 15min meeting as mentioned about, telling me to "get it finished" even though his team had not provided the content yet AND then this), I don't really want to work with him again! They say never work with children or animals, I would like to add head teachers to this as well!
  3. Hi all, This is my first post and unfortunately not a positive one! I am doing work for a client at the moment. I set out the project in stages, included milestone payments etc. I got the deposit, did the design and it got signed off. I got the next milestone payment for the development, it got developed and signed off. The week after I went into my final sign-off meeting so the site can go live (and I can get paid the balance), only to be faced with a client saying "I don't like it", "It is all wrong", "I didn't want it like that". I said that he has signed it off all the way along and to be told this now is a shock! I asked what has changed since last weeks meeting and I got told "I have just noticed, that's what!". He said he want's me to re-do it. I said I can provide a quotation to change the skin and he was not happy and now the project is in limbo. Now I have used the same process that I have used for the past 4 years of freelancing, he has even signed it off and paid the next milestone payments! To be met with this has a.) annoyed me somewhat & b.)made me a little disappointed as I have NEVER had such a response to any work I have completed. I follow their brief and only continue once they are happy. Has anyone else had this?! I guess I will just have to leave the project where it stands? Thanks for any feedback!
