  1. Thanks Mr Dreamer. I think I may have over complicated things by mentioning "buying credits". Just to clarify - We are selling the ability for a client to create reports. We will create a "product" .eg, £50 for 10 credits or £100 for 30 credits. When they create a report it will use for example 3 of their credits which will come off their total. (Much the same as istockphoto.com 's pricing structure) I'm pretty sure that our developer can create a script that monitors their usage and reminds them when they need to top up their credits. The thing that was apparent after looking at various cart options was that they all come with shop templates which we don't need. I also notice that the ability to create voucher codes and gift vouchers looks like a pretty standard offering.
  2. Hi - We are setting up our first site and need a shopping cart. Our needs are pretty simple: We are selling a service (no downloads or physical products). Customers will buy "credits" from us, and then use the credits as "currency" to buy / use our services on our site. Customers can buy credits in packages - the larger package they buy, the cheaper the credits. We need to be able to issue "gift vouchers" and /or discount codes. We don't need a shop template - we need to integrate the shopping cart functionality into our own site layout. Initial searches indicate most cart systems are way over and above our needs. Need some help seeing the wood... Any pointers / help appreciated!
