  1. You could also try to proxy it: In the .htaccess file in the root directory (../public_html/) RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domainA.com$ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /home/user/public_html/siteA/$1 Then in the /siteA sub directory, another .htaccess file with only: RewriteEngine Off It is possible to create a "virtual" virtual named host without write access to httpd.conf on a shared hosting environment.
  2. Looking for a ecommerce plugin that will allow me to keep track of quantities of items left. Generally speaking product is a service, that would occur on number of different days during the month. On each specific day there are only 20 seats available. Is there a shoping cart that has a calendar and then can dynamically keep track of seats purchased for a specific day? Thanks, Paul
  3. Hi I am building a website that is to be a one stop website for a specific industry, it will cover info on technology, actual tools and devices, manufacturers, forum, jobs, and even classifieds Probably going to have some kind of user registration ability (forum) and also the ability for users to sign up for updates or twitter or RSS or similar. CMS: can anyone help me decide if wordpress is the simplest and best option, or if its worth the time to try to learn Joomla or Drupal. Design: I want it to have a simple web2.0 look and feel probably going with 3 column Also I am curious if anyone could recommend templates that might be good. Thanks!
  4. But where can I find a good template that will look like a real webpage and not a blog ? Thanks, Paul
  5. Hi, I just joined this forum because I am trying to build a website based around Acting, Martial Arts, and Modeling, with potential links to other websites that I recommend. If anyone has advice on the first steps... that would be appreciated. I have had experience in graphic design and I have a pretty good idea of how I want a website to look, or at least what looks good, but I have so little time to build one myself that can be easily and reliably updated. What I would like is a CMS backbone with the following pages: About Resume/Reel Gallery Contact Forum something along the lines of http://www.davelankford.com/actor/Resume!OpenForm Please help me ! -Paul www.modelmayhem.com/paul www.myspace.com/sweeper240
