  1. I'm going to make the logo half the height at some point as well, to go with your suggestion, mrludable: I agree with you that body of text needs to be more visible! Thanks again, man.
  2. Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I have changed the website to something I think is, at least, an improvement. Still not entirely happy with it but it's getting there I guess. I've already paid for a year's subscription to Blogger so I don't really want to have to pay to get Wordpress too, even though I know it's better customization wise.
  3. Hey man, thanks for the reply! Wasn't expecting one so quick Y'know, I actually had the same though about it being too blue as well. I was just so far along at that point that I just left it. The background menu? Yeah, tell me about it. There isn't an option where you can input your own colour hex to match up with the rest of the site. All they give you is a few colours to choose from which annoyed me no end! Also agree on the main body content. I hate it. There's nothing eye catching or engaging about it at all really. I'll work something out though I'm actually starting to think that maybe i'd be better off with one of those website creation app sites where you get a lot more options. I just don't want to incur the costs haha. Cheapest one I know is Homestead (work uses it) and they charge about 30 euros a month!
  4. I posted a question without first introducing myself so I thought I'd do a seperate one. My name's Nathana and I'm currently living in good old Ireland (from England, South Yorkshire primarily). I recently started a training Internship in the field of marketing at a business innovation centre (it basically acts as like a hub for lots of start-up businesses). The aim is to get my foot in door here so I can eventually start up my own business. In the meantime, before that Idea has been properly developed I created a little online side business to help me out along the way. So that's pretty much where I'm at now. Apart from that I'm a keen fan of Manchester United, love football, reading, writing. I'm hoping to finish my first novel within the next few years (a fictional book that centres around 9/11) I'm currently watching the entire series of Sopranos (again). Up to season 4 so far. Still really p****d that Gandolfini's dead. It usually doesn't bother me when celebrities pass on, but I was actually pretty bummed when I heard the news. Anyway, that's about it really. Hope to start using this site on a regular basis and get to know a few people along the way Cheers! (I'm not actually dancing or anything...I just really really like that emoticon)
  5. Hi, My name's Nathan and I'm pretty new to the world of web design. With my limited knowledge I have managed to create a very basic website for my side business using the blogger platform and I could do with some feedback. I look at it now and I know it can be improved, but I'm struggling with ideas. The home page especially is pretty bland in my mind. The thing with blogger, is it's very hard to move images around to where you'd like them in the post editor. Whenever I try to just experiment with the code (I know nothing) I just mess it up and end up and then . Is it possible to create a landing page in dreamweaver (something fancier) and then export that code or whatever into the home page bit easily? Also, some general ideas about what I could do to improve the site would be extremely helpful. The website is http://www.virtually-staffed.com Thanks for reading
