I had used dreamweaver for years before every client starting asking to be able to update the site themselves and now use Joomla templates. I know that this will get criticised in this forum but some of my competition are purchasing or subscribing to templates as well and although it takes a lot of properly customised designing out of the web design I find it best fits with what my clients want which is a free easy way to make text edits and add pictures to their websites. I have used zencart for a couple of ecommerce sites and found it easy to configure with paypal. I have been experimenting with prestashop although magento receives better feedback from seo point and security. The only problem is magento is meant to be difficult for customers to update and maintain and clients are looking for something as simple as facebook to update these days!
