  1. New to web development

    Hi guys, I'm pretty new to this whole web development scene and have a few questions (well one main one to be honest). I'd like to set up a website which will be used to display articles (of varying nature). Ive had a look at a few web hosting options and have settled on one. The only issue now is for me to choose a Linux Hosting Account or a Windows Hosting Account. This is where it all falls apart for me ( ). I have been thinking about using WordPress as my web design software and I dont know if there are compatibility issues. Is there anything you guys could recommend? To give you guys an idea of my competency: I have a fair amount of knowledge of computers in general (more so than the average person) I know a little about websites and hosts etc (but nothing really in depth) In terms of coding etc, I know nothing... But I am more than willing to put in the time to learn etc. Thanks in advance! Muzaffar
