Yeah currently im looking at different domains to get around the legal issues. Its getting to be a headache tho. totally agreed. the content needs to be more unique. I want to add blog sections so we can write thoughts and comments about various issues rather then just having small info on links to other sites. I know its a long shot but something like slashdot with more unique content rather then a nerdy fanbase shouting "first post" for the olympics would be my overall goal. Ill repost once ive done the site redesign to make it not so joomlaish. Thanks for the advice sofar. Chris

I actually set up my site as a proof of concept and straight off the bat people will click on your adds. (ive made $4.18 woo!) I can definately see it working especially for the people who have big ideas and unique propositions. I think there is a bit of a myth going around about bloggers on wordpress earning $$$,$$$. It is not possible as you cant really have full control over how the site acts and looks. Dont know if anyone has noticed but all wordpress sites look the same. The people who offer something new and better will be the ones who can take advantage of adsense to earn money

Hey i just checked out the site in IE and its a bloody mess! ugh. Does not look good at all. Looks like ive got a long night ahead of me. Basically i cant make too much reference to any of the olympic logos or even colors with out getting sued. (olympic act uk 2006) But im pretty sure ill be able to get a better logo up then the one i have now. Im thinking of changing the background to white again and adding a shadow. Overall the site must have a red and white color scheme to keep the london/england theme. Also i want to make the site wider? currently the content is only 900px wide perhaps the red wouldnt be so over powering if there wasnt so much of it? Cheers guys keep the advice coming

I was thinking on getting the following: subscribers to submit articles profit share for subscribers whos articles get addclicks more sections blog for top submitting subscribers um layout that makes more use of the screen? anyway let me know if you got any strong suggestions

Hi Guys, I am the webmaster of www.olympicnewslondon.com. It basically links to news on the summer games and olympic events and how it effects the world. I joined up because i really need to learn alot more to take it to the next level. It ranks quite poorly in google, pretty alright in yahoo and non existant in MSN. I think the biggest problem is finding out what exactly people search for that is related to the olympic games.
