  1. I'm trying to do something similar to this http://www.rockettheme.com/labs-joomla-templates the right sidebar moves when you scroll down, but doesn't start to move untill you scroll far enough down. It seems to change class when the scroll bar gets to a certain point. wondered if anyone could point me in the direction of a line of script to help me do this? Thanks, Rob
  2. can anyone see why the slider at www.alwaysrv.com isn't woking in safari? I got it working fine in firefox! any help would be much appreciated.

    I striped this page down to the basic essentials trying to figure out whats wrong? if anyone can see why this might not be working... please let me know <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <title>Untitled Document</title> <script src="SpryAssets/jquery.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="SpryAssets/jquery.cycle.all.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $('#slideshow').cycle({ fx: 'turnLeft', speed: 'fast', timeout: 0, next: '#next', prev: '#prev' }); </script> <style type="text/css"> <!-- body { background-color: #000000; overflow: hidden; } #prev { height: 30px; width: 30px; position: absolute; top: 15px; right: 55px; } #slideshow { height: 100%; width: 100%; } #next { height: 30px; width: 30px; position: absolute; top: 15px; right: 15px; } --> </style> </head> <body> <div id="prev"><a href="#"><img src="images/prev.png" alt="prev" /></a></div> <div id="next"><a href="#"><img src="images/next.png" alt="next" /></a></div> <div id="slideshow" class="pics"> <img src="images/half.png" height="95%" /> <img src="images/half2.png" height="95%"/> </div> </body> </html> Thank you
  5. on no. its alright actually I just found that it happens in all browsers if you make the page small enough! thanks for that
  6. Hi Chris, cheers for that, can you tell me what browser you were using? thanks.
  7. Hi Angelssin, thanks for your imput. think I might go for shorter text up there actually. and I like the thumbnails. I was thinking of putting a flash menu in there, like a horizontal accordion could have some small graphics so you get an idea, but i like the black and white down there, so I might keep them black and white images! as for the info panel, when I rebuilt my portfolio I wanted to make the graphics as big as possible as I figure that's what people want to see and if you have a narrow screen then you can't see whats behind the info... so you can turn it off to get a full screen and turn it back on to get some info about it. might be a bit confusing I guess if you have a widescreen! cheers for your tips.
  8. I think I posted my portfolio on here about a year ago when I first started but I have made a lot of changes since then and have some work in it now too... so can you let me know what you think www.firefields.com you will be redirected to a static page if you are an old ie user or if you have javascript disables, so let me know if you see any other problems! cheers, Rob
  9. It seems to be there http://www.firefields.com/SpryAssets/jquery.js can't work out why it isn't picking that up?
  10. if anyone has a spair minute can you take a look at my problem this is a working version of my portfolio... still needs some work but its getting there www.seoul2b.com/firefields/ but when I the exact same files in its own domain www.firefields.com the jquerey slidding pannel at the bottom wont open!! its the exact same files! hosted on the same server!! what could be wrong? thanks, Rob
  11. I tried it on internet explorer on a few computers... it seems to go the same on all of them.
  12. can someone help? take a look at joseonrecruitment.com and check out how the background fades in... I want to to do that in internet explorer, but I got no idea why it wont work. Hope someone knows away around it. (ignor the speeling! ill get someone to look at that soon) chears
  13. Oh okay, I guess I have a bad interenet conection!! lol. How do I make it hidden to begin with? can't seem to find the code (i use dreamweaver) so if you know that would be helpfull Thanks for the layout advice Im gonna have a play with it now and hopefully, I can make that all look good! I'll have a play and then put it on here again... see what you think. Thanks again.
  14. Okay so I think I went a little bit over the top this time! www.joseonrecruitment.com Any ideas? I need to move a couple of things around for the layout! but any ideas on how to make it less huge, but keep the look? It's stupidly slow right now! maybe I could have a loading screen while everything loads into the cache. or maybe I could just start making normal web sites?
  15. Brilliant, thanks for the replies guys. think that gives me a couple of things to work on and the confidence to maybe start to shell out for advertising. thanks.
