Aaron Clifford got a reaction from hostmedia in .net or .co.uk for a UK hosted site...better traffic ?!
Not a huge amount of companies use .ltd.uk, And not all UK companies are limited companies, for instance I'm a sole trader. I'd say if your targeting the UK then a .co.uk domain would be the most useful for customer recognition.

Aaron Clifford got a reaction from MWP in Database to update multiple pages
I'd look at moving your whole excel database into a sql database, and then moving away from static HTML pages to something more dynamic using PHP and the MYSQL database created from you spreadsheet. In the long run it's going to make your site more expandable and should reduce the time you have to edit the pages.
