So make the text lighter? And is it too many textures visually, or too many textures because how it affects load speed?

But the darker the font, the less you'll be able to read it?

New Site Please Review
Yeah I thought about this, it's not ideal having them different sizes but if you did, the box on the left would have a big grey space under the content? So either way was going to look a bit odd lol I know what you mean about the ticks, thing with these is, the browser will cache them from the landing pages, so when they move onto this sales page, the ticks will already be loaded and I don't want to use bigger ticks on the landing pages (which are the ticks in the upper part of the right content area). I'm already using loads of images on this site, so don't want to add another 5. Cheers for your feedback though mate.

Just add this to your CSS: /*Transition*/-webkit-transition: All 0.2s ease;-moz-transition: All 0.2s ease;-o-transition: All 0.2s ease;-ms-transition: All 0.2s ease;transition: All 0.2s ease; So, what I have is: nav ul li a { font-size:17px; font-family:'sell_your_soulregular'; color:#949699; text-shadow: 0em 0em 0.2em black; margin:0 30px 0 0; /*Transition*/-webkit-transition: All 0.2s ease;-moz-transition: All 0.2s ease;-o-transition: All 0.2s ease;-ms-transition: All 0.2s ease;transition: All 0.2s ease; display:block; height:33px; padding:20px 0 0 0; } nav ul li a:hover {color:#ffffff}

First attempt at responsive design
Yeah that's great, these are all things I need to be able to do now. Nice work. Yeah you know the design is good, the only thing you could do it align the top nav to the left?

What do you mean, the fonts colour should be darker?

Funny you say that Yak, that was one of the two border colours I gave to the guy I'm designing it for to choose from, I preferred the lighter blue as well

Hi Zed, what device/res are you reading it on?

First attempt at responsive design
Very nicely executed, I wish I could do this. Did you use any JS to do this, or was it all CSS?

New Site Please Review
Last time I had my site reviewed on here, everyone suggested I work on contrast, so have addressed that with this new site. Any feedback welcome - http://tinyurl.com/c2qgm9m Edit: the nav needs to be finished off, as the boxes will expand as the page scrolls down, and move to the top of the page with the correct top margin.

Smoothest jQuery Scroll
Yeah I think I have to, cheers dude. Do you know of any plug in that I could use to put that product in the middle, my JS is nil (though I am reading a cool book called 'Eloquent Javascript - A Modern Introduction to Programming').

Smoothest jQuery Scroll
You are right, I just need to make the product they select super obvious, so what I was thinking is having the product box scroll to the middle, then use JS to preselect the buy button as green, and then also use JS to add a bigger margin to the top and bottom to that selected product? I know what you mean though.

Smoothest jQuery Scroll
What do you mean by users spend their time on other peoples sites? And you would not suggest applying this to the page then?

Smoothest jQuery Scroll
Hi Hem, is this to centralise or to cue the notchy issue. I'm going to remove that big background image, as it's too slow, and this seems to work.
-
Smoothest jQuery Scroll
It's still notchy, and has a tag. It's not instant, why is this? Also, is there a way to make the selected element appear in the middle of the page?

Smoothest jQuery Scroll
Is there a way to stop a jQuery vertical scroll from being so notchy. I think all the images I am using are the cause for this but not too sure. Also, has anyone come across a plugin that will make the selected element scroll to the centre of the page - that would be awesome? http://tinyurl.com/d5smxls Cheers.

Hi from Hampshire
Hey, where in Hampshire are you from?

New portfolio review (finally)
Yes that banner is like the style of Adobe CS3 or 4 - like up close pixels. And yeah I mean try adding that texture to the header and footer as a background, but drop it into Photoshop first and make it red?

Why would you move from Bristol to Bridgend, why did you not move to Swansea?

Okay good argument, fair play, I've changed all the text to #7d7d7d, this should be better for some people now, and I will admit it looks better in the footer at least. You can always rely on a Welshman to put forward a good argument

No, I don't admit. If I thought it would lose sales, I wouldn't have made the text #888888. Seriously, try it out for yourselves and compare #888888 (my colour) to #767676 (acceptable according to WCAG). It's nearly impossible to tell the difference between the two colours. And I'm amazed that not one of you has come forward and said how ridiculously similar the two font colours are, not one person. If #888888 is such an issue, and being so similar to WCAGs #767676 minimum, is it fair to say that WCAG need to review their minimum?

New portfolio review (finally)
I like the simple layout, and I think there might be something you could do straight away to give it some depth - drop this texture into photoshop, make it the same red as you have in your footer and header, and see how it looks? Also, not sure about the contrast of your text...only joking
