Another friend advised me to learn WordPress, he set his server up for me so I'm ready to go, I have studied a little but intend to do more, just until then I'm hand coding. I would like to create a CSS container to look like the attached image using this HTML code <div class="container"> <div class="text-content"> <p>Your text content goes here. It will take up 75% of the width on larger screens and adjust responsively on smaller screens.</p> </div> <div class="image-content"> <img src="imgs/maggie.png" alt="Description of image"> </div> </div> I'm nearly there but I want to start a fresh container as there were conflicts. So back to the drawing board! I did manage to do it before and the effect looked great where the image overlapped the top of the container, I think it was by using a negative top margin on the top of the container. Hello, I appreciate your help with this. The problem is all is well with the code in a browser, but when viewed on a mobile, the 'Hamburger menu' is visible but the dropdown doesn't work! I did get it to go once, somehow, but all the links on the drop down were out of line, thanks again, the website is at www.bgflooringneltd.com

Thank you all so much for the all the advice. The thing is being disabled I am not at my best everyday but if I am I am able to do some design. I know I am allowed to do a little bit extra but I'm not too sure what too charge. Is there a formula to work this out or a ball park figure? Thank you Best wishes Graeme

Hello All, One of my hobbies is web design, I am partially disabled and managed to do a BA in IT and for my dissertation I designed a web site for my son's primary school and that's how it started. I really enjoy it and have learned so much mainly self taught and from amazing forums like this one. I have designed web sites for friends business' and for my son's cricket club which I maintain on a regular basis. Now to my main question! I have been paid from bottles of wine to £s but as it is a hobby I'm always changing the subject when payment comes up! The people I design for a more than happy with their sites and they do generate business for them, I design them all with up to date standards and they are all SEO and have good rankings in Google. So here we go, is it OK to charge even though it is a hobby and if so is there a bench mark or rule of thumb as to what to charge? Many thanks as always, Best wishes Graeme
