Excellent point, I pretty much scrapped the entire thing and remade it entirely differently. I don't have the patience or precision to make the tendrils look accurate.

Greetings! Ive recently been attempting to give my site graphics a buff and polish, a little spice up, if you will. Trouble is, I'm no good at graphic art! What I've tried to do here is create the effect that the white line is some sort of filter, and it dissolves/shreds the logo in to those tendrils. Im happier with this than my earlier works, but i'm still not satisfied. Can someone please help me with the transition from logo to tendrils? Thanks very much, chaps, John.

I have been using blogger for a while now and intend to continue using it until such a time as i can hire a developer to write a new site which i can host with a .com. While i do love blogger, i do not like the uniformity of all blogs; no matter how much they have done in the template designer. I was wondering how i would go about making a blogger based blog look like a proffesional one e.g: http://crave.cnet.co.uk/ http://www.engadget.com/ or along those lines. Right off i'd like to apologize if i happen to have posted this in an inappropriate section (for lack of a more applicable one). I have recently discovered the excellent Xara pro, i enjoy its gui reliant interface and the lack of any serious html knowledge. I do have one issue however, the site i use is of the tech blogging format. I thusly require blogging tools in the site that i build in Xara. I can't find any integrated solution but if anyone could help i would be eternally grateful. Just to reiterate, i need to blog inside a website built in Xara without having to change the sites design in the program itself every time i wan't to make a post.

Hey, I know what you're all thinking, new guy obviously here just for free stuff. Well, you would be right... Im a small scale technology journalist and it has been my dream to make it full time since i can remember. *insert heart breaking inspirational story here* I did indeed have a proper domain once, but i could no longer pay the bills since i had moved to a place with no adress. I have negated this issue and will hopefully be back on the old .com soon! Im sick of bloggers design restrictions and lack of polish and finnese. Yet i am no html code wiz, i medically need a web designer to 'help' design and build my new site. *pleading conclusion* I am now fully open to all criticism, go to town!
