Hello All, So it has been a while since i have done any designing or coding at all, about a month ago i decided to write a simple games arcade script that allows flash games to post scores to the game scoreboard for each game you become first place you win a trophy however if someone beats your score you loose a trophy. The design aspect was hard because the amount of games 3,000+ which have been modified to submit scores, I decided to keep the design simple. I've recently added live notifications so it now tells you when someone has beat your score via ajax, theres also an ajax shout box. This project was coded for a bit of fun and as a result it seems i do have active members Im now in the process of coding an ajax bingo based app. PHP/MYSQL - HTML/CSS/JQuery http://www.dizzyarcade.com Let me know your thoughts.

Hello all and thank you for taking the time to read this topic. I have recently been working on a web application which has 2 ajax features that call back every 5 seconds to a PHP file requesting small text data from the MYSQL Database Table live in the web page. The application is running locally with the latest version of apache,php and mysql downloaded and freshly installed a few days ago. The problem happens when another computer on my network loads the web application and then after a 5 minute window we receive the error below on the website. Warning: mysqli_connect(): (HY000/2002): An operation on a socket could not be performed because the system lacked sufficient buffer space or because a queue was full. Ive tried to close the connections right after each one is closed using the PHP mysqli_close() function but this did not fix the problem. I then decided to connect to mysql process and show the connections status and this is what was displayed: Im a little confused at this as for each page refresh its making 65 connections which seems a bit to much... for every page refresh the "Connections" value is incremented Is this normal? What could be the problem? Closing the website on the second computer stops us from getting the error above? Perhaps im making too many MYSQL requests?

Its not under any framework at all, Just a bunch of classes and useful methods, Its secure no doubt, I love coding and building new projects and for code that's already written for me, it takes away the fun side of it all There's advantages and disadvantage's for having a nice framework, I just prefer to do it my way to be fair Edit: There still some room for improvement later on in the project

Thank you Not much going on in the front end now as im working on the ACP for features to function correctly on the front end, Its a huge job and as you can see its taken 20 days to get this far.

Just had a look and its going to cost money to link to there api, considering this is free software im not sure users will want to pay for additional stuff like this.
