Hey everyone, My names Chris and i'm currently living in Scotland. I'm 21 and have been working as a fulltime webdesigner and template marketer for around 18months now. I run 4 main websites. I design in photoshop I blog in wordpress I SEO with google I Market with Adwords I promote with Afifliate Marketing Thats about it really. I'm a jack of all trades. My goal for the year is to setup business stable enough so i can travel and work parttime in 2009 for the whole year and see the world.

I saw this thread and i had to reply. Affiliate marketing is not about scamming people nor is it a get rich scheme like many people here are trying to make it sound like. It's a legitimate business model just like web design and development. Every top brand you see on the highstreet is likely to have an affiliate programs such as Next, Dixons, and Tmobile / Vodafone. If you refer a sale you get a fee. When promoting these merchants we call them, the buyer is in a mindset to buy and an affiliates job is to presell an item before sending them ot the order page - often through reviews, video reviews, forum discussion or PPC. Someones not going to order a contract mobile phone for 18months without the intention of doing so. Affiliate marketing is not a scam, what your thinking of is ebay scammers and ebook clickbank sellers (although most are not scams.) So the UK affiliate market is worth £3billion a year http://www.e-consultancy.com/news-blog/364...es-in-2007.html This is a legitimate business model and because your not aware of it or understand it fully you shout scam. Just my two cents

Well i've just finished modifying a Free wordpress theme into this. Now at the moment ignore the non validated code i'll get onto to that in the next week or so. It is a UK affiliate website so there are links to retailers ect.. so if you think i'm trying to sell you something simple don't click the link below but i assure you that it's a quality site in terms of content. Well it's a modified wordpress website that allows for up to 3 different post pages, 1 for mobile phone submission reviews, 1 for rating phone deals and another normal for mobile phone news. It's been tested in Safari, Opera, IE 5-7 and Firefox both MAC and PC browsers. I'm looking for feedback on the look of the website, I tried to keep it simple using the standard 000cc as links and using a 3 colour combination (blue, white and black.) I decided to modify briangardner.com's whitespace theme to create this. It's fully automated from the wordpress admin panel and is built up of freely available plugins on the net (just slightly modified.) So please have a look around and tell me what you think, thanks.
