Hi eion, yes I see what you are saying and I think you are right. However, I haven't had any hits to the cart/checkout, customers havent even got to that point. If I had had a few hits to the cart I would have signed up to something like sagepay, but I don't think its worth it at the moment.

How can I make my landing page better?
thanks for your replys. I understand what you are saying the blue is quite strong. However previously when I had the blue area matching the gray of the site, people said it looked bland and didn't make the products stand out. Not sure which way to go? Thats a good idea about adding a add to cart button, just not sure how to do it? What colors do you think I should change? Do you think the actual product listings themselves need redesigning? to look more stylish? the other thing is, although all these tweeks should help, I still don't understand why I haven't had a single sale, after around 100 hits on keywords like "white gloss table", "white high gloss table" which i think is pretty specific. What I am trying to say is, is there anything glaringly obvious why you wouldn't buy? I feel like theres something putting people off.

Adwords no conversions, feedback would be appreciated
Hi all, Sorry for dragging up a bit of an old thread, iv been away for a week. I have taken on broad some of your feedback and tried to implement some changes. Although I have not redesigned the site I have tried to beef up the product descriptions. please have a look http://www.directsmartphones.com/default/brand-1/htc/htc-one-x-1.html As people have said I have tried to educate the customer more, rather than just sell to them and input some useful content. I understand the right bar is not working properly, seems to be below the footer for some reason, anyone know how to fix this? would be appreciated. I was thinking of now running this on Google adwords to hopefully get some sales in, then use that to fund design the rest of the products/site. Any new feedback would help? Best Regards Joe

Adwords no conversions, feedback would be appreciated
Brightonmike, yes you are proberly right. But I think first I need to address the problems with the site before I spend more on promoting, else I won't have a conversion rate hahaha

Adwords no conversions, feedback would be appreciated
Syjnyn, Thank you for your reply. Thank you for being honest. Please can you explain to me what you mean by a proper brand design, what would this entail? How do you think I could go about adding more interaction with visitors? What could I add to show myself as an expert in this field? I think that's what I need to do? Thank you for pointing that out, yes I can understand that that would lose trust, thankful that can easily be fixed I will sort that out. Heres one of my competitors product pages http://www.mobiles.co.uk/vodafone-apple-iphone-4s-16gb-black.html?tid=VN4I-M2199&PHPSESSID=lvhc6lbsn0bna22sk9bngndgq1 although I agree they do have a lot of information on this page, to me a lot of it seems like Radom useless information, they neither have much of a product description. What would you say is important on this page? Thank you Joe

Adwords no conversions, feedback would be appreciated
Thanks for your reply, That's my problem really I Dont know if I just need to spend more on adwords or improve the site. Renaissance design yes think your completely right, I do need to be seen as a helping guide/adviser rather then just trying to sell the contracts. I need to be seen as on the customers side rather just trying to profit out of them. Just implementing this is harder than it seems, any ideas? When you say my site looks bland do you mean in terms of design or I require more marketing spiel like better product description/photos? Any suggests would be appreciated? Best Regards Joe

Adwords no conversions, feedback would be appreciated
Hello People, Since this is my first post I would like to introduce myself, my name is Joe from directsmartphones . com ( I am not trying to promote my site, it will be related to the question). I have been reading the forums for quite a while now and from what I have learnt this is the website/business I have set up. Iv had the idea for around a year now and been in the process of setting up the website ever since ( had a great pain with getting accounts with suppliers). Iv tried to make the site look as professional as possible on my small budget, and i am happy with how the site has turnout. After many months i finally reached the stage where i needed to start promoting the site at least make my money back, ( and earn some haha). So I thought I would turn to adwords as this looked like the most easiest and effective way to get some targeted hits and of course I got burnt. Iv spent around £100 on adwords got around 100 hits and no sales. Problem is, I think I did everything by the book. I did quite a lot of research before starting and I think I missed most of the schoolboy errors. an example of my advert is attached and here is the link it directed to http://www.directsmartphones . com/default/brand-1/apple/apple-iphone-4s-16gb-black.html ( remove the spaces) I must point out that this deal is competitive so I don't think that is the problem The only thing I can think of is to add to quick overview section would be something like "Just Honest Deals - 100% refund of contract agreement if you change your mind". The only think I can think of is that people do not trust my site or are wary of entering into a contract from my site? If anyone has any ideas of how I could over come this, that would be great? The only other arguement could be that my sample size is to small and i need to spend more on adwords before I get sales, for example I could get 5 sales in a row just after spending another £5. If anyone has any suggestions or feedback that would be great. Thankyou Joe
